Yeah, it sounds like Microsoft is working on convincing more Japanese developers to go multiplat. If they can actually convince more Japanese developers to go multiplat it'll make the Xbox One a much more attractive option for Japanese gamers as well as Western fans of Japanese games. A few key exclusives plus increased multiplat support and the Xbox One should easily pass the 360's sales in Japan.
Honestly it shouldn't be that hard for Microsoft to convince Japanese developers to go multiplat, if you look at the sales of Japanese games on the 360 there is plenty of demand for Japanese games in the West. Most Japanese developers who have already gone multiplat are seeing 25-35% of their total sales on the 360 and a few are even seeing 40%, that's definite justification for more Japanese developers including the Xbox in their release plans imo.

Agreed. I mean they already got KH 3 and FFXV, and those are two of the biggest juggarenauts One could get. Smaller games like Child of Eden are also coming to the One.
MS has the money to fund development of those games as well. So I'm hoping there will be more to come to Xbox and if it does come to Xbox, I hope they localize it as well.

Yeah, FFXV, KH3, and MGSV are the 3 big Japanese games that are already confirmed for Xbox One, Microsoft did a good job convincing their developers to release on the One. You mean Child of Light, right? Child of Eden came out in 2011 for the 360 and PS3. Child of Light is technically not a JRPG since it's being developed in the West, but it's mechanics are based on JRPG's. The same goes for Cosmic Star Heroine and Pier Solar HD, western developed but based on JRPG's. I plan to buy all 6 of the aforementioned games. Also Swery's D4, definitely going to get it. Level-5's Wonderflick is also confirmed for Xbox One, don't think I'll get it though.
And of course Microsoft already has working relationships with several other Japanese developers, namely Sega, Mistwalker, Access Games, tri-Ace, tri-Cresendo, CyberConnect2, and Platinum Games, so we should hopefully see some Xbox One games from each of them.
Though Microsoft has mainly been gaining support in Japan, they've also lost some support this generation which they need to win back somehow. First they lost Namco Tales Studio and the Tales series after only one game. Then they lost Arc System Works, the developers of Guilty Gear and BlazBlue, previous games in both series released on the 360, but the most recent BlazBlue and the upcoming Guilty Gear Xrd aren't coming to Xbox platforms. And there are still plenty of the 3rd party Japanese series that have never came to the Xbox, badly Microsoft need to convince their developers/publishers to go multiplat.
