I might just rent it from Gamefly next then. This'll be my first time playing a Resident Evil game (I've only played the demo for 5 and watched a full playthrough of 6 on Youtube). It'll also be my first time playing an actual horror game, the closest I've came to playing one would be the Flood levels in Halo, the Undead Nightmare expansion for RDR, and The Walking Dead season 1. I've watched playthroughs of several horror games on Youtube (RE6, Amnesia, Outlast, Dead Space, etc.), but watching somebody else play a horror game and playing one yourself are two different experiences. If I survive the experience of playing Resident Evil Revelations 2 without having a heart attack (lol), I might just branch out and start playing other horror games.

I'd suggest The Evil Within. It's not scary in terms of doing cheap jumpscares, but rather, it builds a nice, strong and suggerent atmosphere.
But of course, I also suggest playing Revelations 2. This one, though, isn't that scary. Kinda on the levels of Resident Evil 6, although the setting is nicely done here.
