I agree, Sony needs to support the Vita better than they have. Niche games aren't going to appeal to western casual audiences like Gravity Rush, Persona, and Tales.

I havent played Gravity Rush yet.  i need to.  I have Killzone Mercenery coming in from gamefly at this moment though :)

The controls are a little cumbersome but once you get used to them the game is really good! I've never liked Killzone though, let me know if  it feels less clunky than the previous games.

Im not sure if ive mentioned in this thread or not but i loved KZ2.  It was actualyl the reason i bought PS3.  It is probably my third fave FPS franchise behind Halo and CoD.  Well the original IW Call of Duty (CoD4 and MW2.  Not those big weenies they have hired at acitivision now -_-

All hail the return of IW and Respawn! lol

I'm afraid Call of Duty is a Ghost of it's former self.

I've decide to get the Xbox One first, it will probably be my primary next gen console. I get the feeling we'll see MS stay the course this gen in trying to get the Japanese on board. Also FF XV and KH3 are both coming to Xbox One so I'll at least have my Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy fix. I've already said this before but I plan on just buying a PS4 and then trading it for a Xbox One that way it saves me 100 bucks.

Good man :)

Hopefully we get more Japanese games for the One, would love to see tales of return, but that's a lost cause. And lol at that last point, if you made that a thread you'd get crucified xD.

Yeah, I don't know why though Tales of Vesperia sold pretty well on 360.

I'm guessing it was the Japanese launch. Plus I believe Graces F and Xillia have sold better on PS3.

Oh, maybe they could just start releasing them on multiple platforms instead of just one or the other. Xbox has a heavy influence in North America while PlayStation is dominant in Japan ( Well not really dominate but you get the point lol), or maybe they could release Tales of games in North America and Europe on both PlayStation and Xbox but exclude an Xbox version in Japan.

I'd be willing to bet that the first next-gen Tales is at least multiplat, if not a timed Xbox exclusive like Vesperia was. My reasoning: Tales of Vesperia was one of the best selling 360 games in Japan and Microsoft wants the Xbox One to sell well in Japan; Microsoft has very deep pockets that can afford to buy exclusivity from most developers/publishers; Vesperia on 360 sold more copies in the US and Europe than than either Graces F or Xillia on the PS3; Vesperia 360+PS3 combined is the best selling Tales game of all time, sitting at 1.1 million physical copies sold, plus extra digital sales (Vesperia was added to 360 games on demand not too long after it's release). In other words, even if Microsoft doesn't buy exclusivity, Namco Bandai might decide that a multiplatform release would be more profitable than releasing exclusivly on Playstation (many other Japanese developers/publishers have decided to go multiplatform).

Didn't Namco state they are dedicated to PS3 right now only? I mean I know they will eventually move on, but I'm guessing they will move on to the PS4. I wish it was multiplat and I wish MS would fund for another game, but there's a lot of guesswrok and speculation right now.

I just compared the sales of Vesperia, Xillia, and Graces F. While Vesperia has sold more than the other two in NA and EU. Japan is the driving force that pushes the two other games above Vesperia. I'm just thinking the system which has more success in Japan is going to get the exclusive. And I think we all know the PS4 is going to be more successful in Japan than the One. Although, like you said, MS has deep pockets and could easily fund theses game. Phil Spencer has stated they have Japanese games in the pipleine waiting to be shown late this year.

I've got some preorder data for titles we've all been wondering about, fresh from VGChartz requests section:

Quantum Break (XOne) added 453 pre-orders for a total of 11,299.
Sunset Overdrive (XOne) added 277 pre-orders for a total of 4,659.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (XOne) added 166 pre-orders for a total of 3,056.

Considering none of them have release dates I think those numbers are okay.
