I've played as both male and female Shepard. I believe I played as the Solider class most of the time. When you choose a class from ME and import to ME2 you could change classes if you wanted to. Prob the same going from ME2 to ME3. As far as the romance bit I'll leave that to you lol. I think there was only 3 options in the first one but expands in 2 & 3. Yes just wait till the HD but make sure you don't have any big plans for games during that time cause all 3 games + dlc will keep you occupied for awhile. Prob not nearly as long as Witcher 3 but still a good amount of gameplay.

Oh yes another big thing will be if you want to go the Paragon route or Renegade.

That's what I pick too but I will mention there is a Renegade achievement on the first one if you want to unlock it. I did a playthrough just to get the achievement and deleted that one cause I prefer going Paragon.

Even by virtue of being a video-game franchise I know that ME will never usurp Star Wars or Star Trek, regardless of the quality of its content. But I have to say, its developing an ever-richer codex of awesomeness. I have read the novels as well, and they are really quite great.

But yes, the combat improved in each game substantially. A lot of people felt too many RPG features were pulled in ME3. I didn't feel that way, but too each their own.

Congrats! I've taken 5 years to get to 34k. 

our gamerscore is about the same :)  I thought everyone here had at least 50 k xD Now i feel better about my gamerscore haha

I'm playing AC: Unity and so far I got 1,055 points from it which got me to 55k.

I'm at roughly 90K, failed to reach my goal of 90K (from like 80K) in 16 days (by like 300 GS).
