One thing I love about the Wii U is, is that if I have a game that needs an update, I can just go around that and just play the game without any need to download.

Edit (3): Hmm, just went to settings --> Network--> badwidth usage and it has it pegged at 5.34 Mb/s. That's the highest I've ever seen it. Guess that's why it's going so fast.

And yeah that's definitely a nice feature of the Wii U. I feel like a patch should only be forced if it has to do with the online portion of a game or if there's a game-breaking bug  or exploit that needs to be fixed with the patch. Otherwise I don't see the harm of letting you skip it until you have the time to download it.

Good thing you can play the single player or watch Netflix, hell even play another games MP when it downloads in the background. Remember the 360 days where it was either decline update and stay offline or be forced to stay there until it downloaded? One of the biggest things I love about the xbox one.

Yeah the ability to do multiple things whilst the game is updating is greatly appreciated. You have to wonder how we lived without it.

Same applies with a lot of things really. You forget how far things have come in such a short period of time.

2 good posts right here. You can actually do 3 things. Snap(damn i love this feature)play a game and download at the same time. May slow the download even further though lol.
