Merry Christmas to all

Around the Network

I'm on the second mission in Halo: CE and I rescued the stupid captain that keeps on dying on me.
I got to the room in the middle where you see two elites with swords. I kill them easily before he enters the room. After killing them a new wave of enemies come and he dies within one or two seconds.
I keep repeating and he keeps on dying.

Is it a bug? What should I do?

Nope not a bug, the guy is just too gung ho lol. Anyway for that area you have to preempt the attacks by being first at the doors don't give Keynes a chance to join the fight.

P.S I think you can enter the corridors behind the doors and attack grunts before the enter as well but you'll have to act fast.

I tried that and other things but he always die! He doesn't even give me the chance to do anything! Once I kill the two big guys with the swords a new wave will come after them and he dies right away.

I repeated it more than 10 times with 10 different ideas but nothing worked.

Merry Christmas guys! Haven't been on here much as I've been busy with other games. Wanted to stop in and wish you all have a great Christmas.

Got Halo Masterchief Collection for Christmas

What other gifts did you guys get? Doesn't have to be Xbox related.

What level you playing on? Alone? Anyway me and my friend ran into the same problem. Here's what we did after about the 5th time he died. I noticed that wherever my friend went he would follow. I told him to hang back in that doorway that you entered to get to the big room you are currently in. I cleared the room and Capt didn't fire a single shot :)

Interesting demo. The way it uses smart glass is clever.

FF and RE are the big Japanese games though. The other ones don't sell that well.

And 500k and 600k are not very good sales. Its just not worth the effort and cost to make an exclusive Japanese game that ends up only selling 500k. MS wouldn't be happy with 500k sales either.

You have to remember though that MS didn't advertise games like Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon all that much, at least in the West. Might have had big ad campaigns in Japan but I personally wouldn't have even known that Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon existed when they first released had a friend who was a Final Fantasy fan not told me about it at the time, I saw zero ads for Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon. So the fact that they sold 600k in the west without advertising is pretty good imo.

Also 500-600k sales can be good depending on the budget of the game. Look at the Atelier series, games in it sell 400k or less yet Gust and Koei Tecmo make a profit on them because they keep the budget under control.

That's true but why would MS want to spend millions advertising a game in the west that will barely sell much. It just doesn't make sense.

And 500k sales after many years is still really bad. Its not like it sold 500k at launch.

And for MS, they don't have any Japanese studios. They'd have to pay someone else to make the game for them, and then advertise it. Its all very expensive to do.
