Just watched the UC4 gameplay demo. My opinion: Gameplay: Pacing for the demo seemed off to me, the first half was literally just slow paced exploration. Finally we got into some action about halfway through. Shooting mechanics looked pretty good, and the use of the multi-tiered environment to evade or get the jump on enemies seemed really good (that was the one aspect of Tomb Raider reboot's gameplay that I found lacking, not enough verticality, hopefully something they'll fix in Rise of the Tomb Raider). Graphics: Let's start with the good, the foliage looked excellent, some of the best I've ever seen in a game. Character models looked good but not amazing. Now the bad, the rock textures looked really rough to me, and due to the large number of cliffs in this demo this issue really stood out for me. Hopefully those will be improved since this is still pre-alpha. Story: Very little in the demo. Frankly I have no clue what this game is about since I've never played the previous games. BTW, I'm posting about this in this thread because my opinion of the game isn't super high, frankly I'd probably get attacked by Sony fans if I posted this elsewhere. I know there are several Naughty Dog fans in this thread who probably won't attack me for having a differing opinion, so that's why I posted it here xD Please forgive me mods.

Hmmm not all Sony fans are rabid fanboys you know =P
Here's my take on your opinion, as a crazy Sony fanboy lol:
Rock textures are rough? That's a good thing right? Just kidding. I agree, and hopefully they can improve upon that. The FPS was stuttering a bit in the beginning but frankly I'm kind of happy they aren't bullshitting us with the footage. No game will get a rock solid 30 FPS when it's a year out from releasing, working on having a solid fps is one of the last things to do in the development stage.
The foliage looks orgasmic. I don't know why but I always love lush green vegetation in games (I loved FC3 for this) and this game was full of it. Everything seemed really detailed and I love how they reacted to the wind as well as when Drake would pass through them.
Not sure why you felt the pacing was off. Would you have preferred it for it to just start off with him shooting people or something? I really enjoy the exploration/platforming levels of Uncharted (personal preference) and it was cool to see some of the new equipment Drake has at his disposal that he can use to traverse the environment. I also loved the gun play, The gun sound had a real punch to them and I loved seeing the enemies fly off the cliff whenever they would get shot.
In terms of story, well I don't know what you expected. I think this was just a short demo for people to see how the game is coming along. Story is difficult to do in one short demo of a game, that's saved up for trailers where you can cut to different segments of the game and whatnot.
