Dammit saw Jay's picture and thought Grunty Land got revealed lmao

I wonder if that leaked image was real, Dead rising 3 came true, spartan assault got announced for Xbox One.

Nope lol  just patiently waiting for Rare to announce their other game.  I believe it is Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark, or B-K.  I love Rare Ltd xD  Even the new.  Conker Live & Reloaded > Bad Fur Day (Imo), Kameo(Still my favorite of it's genre for the 7th gen), and Viva Pinata(is my fav from its genre ever) xD  Banjo Nuts & Bolts was o....k but Id prefer they go back to the original format,  KI has been amazing and i dont like when people ignore that Rare also had many members working on KI.    It was one of the main reasons KI was in good hands giving Double Helix key people.

I also liked Perfect Dark Zero O.o  Any ways this whole old vs New Rare thing i always thought it was unfair criticisms.  While I loved DKC, Jet Force Gemini, Banjo-Kazooie, and Conker when I was younger they have still given me the same amount of loving experiences with Xbox and have remained at having some of the best character designs.  However I'm not a fan of Kinect Sports and never played Ghoulies.    Those are the two I don't care for.

Sony didn't screw SEGA, SEGA screw SEGA. :P

Sega made mistakes, but Sony played a big part in their demise. Sony announced the first Playstation and since Sony was already a big name electronics company, the Playstation was gaining a ton of hype just from Sony's name. Sega was left with a difficult choice, release the Saturn early without much software support, or release it at around the same time as the Playstation and get killed by the hype surrounding the Playstation. Sega made the difficult decision to announce an early price and an early release date to try and get an established playerbase going before the Playstation released, but then Sony decided to be douchey, because Sega announced their price first, just like Microsoft did this time, Sony decided to purposefully undercut Sega's price, killing most of the hype surrounding the Saturn. That early damage hurt the Saturn throughout the 5th gen, and though Sega made a fantastic product with the Dreamcast, the huge playerbase Sony had built up with the first Playstation allowed the announcement of the PS2 to completely kill the demand for the Dreamcast, and Sega was forced to bow out of the console business. I will never forget what Sony did.

So...You're mad at Sony for playing  it alittle bit smarter?

And the thing about the Dreamcast, I would have launched that thing in 02' at latest. It was ahead of it's time by the way. and it could've gone head to head with the Xbox One( not this one) as far as online gaming.

Waiting for your competition to announce a price and then undercutting it may be smart, but it's also underhanded. As for the Dreamcast, lagging Saturn sales forced Sega to design and release the Dreamcast early, it was the only way that they could continue to make enough profit to survive. Yes, I agree that it was ahead of it's time, both the system and certain games on it pioneered trends that would become huge later on in the 6th generation.

At least Sega is still around. I hope they don't ruin Atlus or else I'll feel the same way you do towards Sony or whatever company.

as someone else already stated, Sega ruined Sega, Sony had nothing to do with it, they were just simply in the right place at the right time.
The Sega that I remember from the early and mid-nineties was a company that screwed gamers over with high priced, ill-conceived add-ons that never worked as advertised, a company that got caught napping in the tech room with the old-school design of Saturn, the world's last and most powerful 2-D home console, while the rest of the industry was busy innovating; (Sony, 3D0, CDi...)
a company that, due to price gouging, bad business decisions and a painfully indifferent attitude towards the competition, lost the hardcore gamer at a time when there was no other type... and that's where Sony came in.
I bought the Saturn the week it came out, blew off my rent so I could afford it, 500 dollars and 48 hours later, along with a couple hours playing the wreck that was Daytona USA, I realized what a horrible mistake I'd made.

They did everything they could to right themselves when they released the Dreamcast.. a truly remarkable console that ushered in the age of online gaming and the idea of convergence; one machine built for more than just video games... but by then, it was too late.
and they really only have themselves to blame.

I'd be down for a Conker or B&K game, I'm just honestly getting sick of seeing Kinect Sports. I'm sure they're great but they've been doing that for like 3 games in a row lol I just want to see a core game from them. As for the old vs new Rare thing I agree, people have been unfairly harsh to them since the MS buyout. Saying things like "all the talent left" is just rude IMO

Sega is still around but they're a hollow shell of what they once were. They've made so many mistakes in recent years, it truly makes me sad. I really miss the old Sega. The recent announcement that Atlus is free to revive any of Sega's dormant franchises is the first good bit of Sega news in awhile, I really hope that something good comes out of that partnership. If Atlus revived Shenmue as as a multiplatform release or as an Xbox One exclusive, I'd probably die out of sheer happiness. Then again, Atlus is probably better suited for a Skies of Arcadia revival, which would also make me very happy.

Or Space Channel 5,Crazy Taxi, and Jet set Radio. If you liked those games.  Then maybe a Phatasy Star?

I never played the first 3, though I'm aware of them. I'd love another main series Phantasy Star, but I'd be plenty happy if Sega would get off their butts and release Phantasy Star Online 2 outside of Japan, they said they would and then they didn't. Yakuza 5 and Yakuza Ishin as well, they badly need to release them outside of Japan.

Well, you can learn Japanese. :p

@shik... i get that you're obviously a die-hard Sega fan.. and that's cool to see some are still out there, but I think that stalwart allegiance you have for them is sorta coloring your opinion of Sony with a little bias.
Sony wasn't just competing with Sega, Nintendo was in the mix also... and they've obviously come out fine. It's not like Sony focused all their might on destroying Sega, if anything, they had more of an axe to grind with Nintendo because of the failed partnership between the two companies. Nintendo kinda screwed 'em.
Sega was just a poorly run outfit at the time, and while the Saturn had plenty of 3d games, it was initially designed to be the foremost 2d sprite blaster ever to sit beside a t.v,...it wasn't until they caught wind of what Sony was up to that they changed the design.. almost last minute.. and picked some 3d tech off the shelves and jammed it in there.
I'm certainly one of those gamers that lost some faith in Sega, just felt cheated one too many times. that's where they went wrong.

I've picked up some basics from watching tons of subtitled anime. I've searched for free lessons online and never had much luck find anything that could teach me much more than I already knew, and I lack the funds for something with proven success like Rosetta Stone.

I played a japanese demo of LR: FF13 and knew what I was doing but I did know whats going on. haha

Can we please get off this Sega subject and focus on Xbox?

All this Sega and Japanese talk! I'm just going to link my SoA fanpage here
