Mages and 5pb released the first screenshots and artwork of the upcoming Xbox One exclusive (at least for now) Chaos;Child, that will hit the Japanese shelves on a yet undisclosed future date. The story is set in 2015, six years after what has been called the “Shibuya Earthquake,” that killed 3,851 and injured 30,927, almost destroying the well known Tokyo district. Mysterious incidents start to happen in the city, with people dying during live broadcasts on the net or while singing live on the street. Corpses are also found hung to the ceiling of their love hotel rooms. The dates of those mysterious deaths coincide with similar incidents happened six years before, and people start to take notice of them. The hero of the game is the president of his school’s newspaper club and he’s determined to solve the mystery, with the help of several heroines and his best male friend. Below you can check out a gallery with the first screenshots and artwork of the game, showcasing the cast, some of the environments, and quite a few gameplay scenes (including the mysterious deaths described above). Strangely enough, they’ve been delivered in a mix of 1080p and 720p, leaving us with a doubt on what the final resolution of the game will run at, even if this kind of visual novel shouldn’t exactly be hardware intensive. Under the gallery you’ll also find the key artwork of the other two Xbox One exclusives announced yesterday: Mistereet F and PSYCHO-PASS: psychopaths.
