@ConeyG What constitutes spamming? Is going off topic in the XBO Nation now bannable? (We do that) We talk about Sony, Nintendo, anime, sometimes sports, and just other random stuff. Active posting vs. spamming? Are we safe?

Edit: I'm not too worried about ConeG's ban hammer... it's Smeags' hammer, which strikes fear in the hearts of all vgcharters!

Way I see it off-topic discussion is fine. Posting in a good way is also alright. It was merely the quantity of needless posts which were not only off-topic but also lacked content (hence the spamming reason) which led to that ban.

Had a flick through here from my last post, and I can't see any such examples in here. So for me, you guys are fine

I'd like to think that, but I think mods have higher sway then Jay. If mods make it so we can only talk Xbox, I think we would have to, or get banned :(

If that's the case then surely every thread could (and should) be self-governed for equality and thus moderatorss would be pointless anyway.

Reason there is moderators is to keep a nice level playing field so people know what is and isn't acceptable, and the thread which contains it isn't important. 

 

These threads though do get more leeway for off topic discussion ofcourse because of the nature of the thread; which is fine. But it's true that at some point also there has to be a line.

I see. It's not an official rule yet, but be wary that lashing out against Lost Odyssey is an instant-permaban.
