Id be happy with Insomniac working on Banjo :)

Idk how big inomniac is but yeah they seem to always be working on some kind of ratchet game.

Love Ratchet and Clank, so... yes please!

Press Play doing Banjo would be so cool but I don't want all of Rare's franchises being given to other studios =/ although if Rare aren't doing anything with them....

We should get new ip's from Rare
Press Play working on Banjo
Ruffian Games - Perfect Dark and/or Conker - I think Ruffian are working on or helping with a old Ip owned by Microsoft personally, just don't know what it is
Who for Viva Pinata and Kameo?....

I honestly dont think Press Play is big enough to do Banjo.  Banjo is more of a AA game and getting that artstyle that Rare is so famous for would take a lot of work.  I like Seece's idea with insomniac.  Their resume is about as good as it is going to get working on that franchise from their artstyle, dialogue, humor, to platforming.

MIne was Going Commando, Up Your Arsenal, then Crack in Time.

Would love if that came to Vita too. I need more Vita games. Backlog has been reduced to one game, Persona 4 Golden...

lol mine is two.  Tearaway and Persona 4. Though beyond Tearaway's cool artstyle it really wasnt that gret of a game imo.  I still need to play gravity rush and Uncharted though

I have 12 Vita games total (3DS collection is three times that...) and it's so disappointing because it's such a superior handheld (technically speaking). I enjoyed Tearaway a lot, except the combat; loved the art style too.

Gravity Rush is VERY unique, one of the most unique IPs in years that I've played, but the controls really pissed me off, lol. Loved Uncharted, the best looking handheld game I've ever played. Story's not great though. Pure eye candy though.

It really is sad about the Vita.  It is a great piece of tech that hasnt seemed to stray away from being the console with console ports. Sony hasnt supported it near enough, and if they dont support it then why should third parties.

Speaking of Insomniac, has anyone else wondered why after so many years of being Sony 2nd party they suddenly went multiplat with Fuse and then announced a Microsoft exclusive? I have to wonder if, after the moderate-low Metacritic ratings and moderate-low sales for All 4 One, Full Frontal Assault, Fuse, and Into the Nexus, Sony decided to let them out of their 2nd party contract because they felt like they were tarnishing the Playstation Brand. Honestly, if that's the case I think Microsoft may have lucked out, Insomniac has a ton of potential as we've seen from Spyro, Resistance, and the earlier Ratchet & Clank games, if they can live up to their potential again and Microsoft signs them on as a regular 2nd party studio, Microsoft could have a really good developer in their roster.

No way would Sony have just cast away Insomniac like that. I'm sure they tried to buy them many times. Insomniac probably just wanted to go multiplat and saw bigger sales potential there. Sunset Overdrive was exclusive because MS funded development for it. Maybe they outbidded Sony. They're still working with Sony on Ratchet games so I don't think there's any bad blood there. I really don't see Insomniac going back to being a one console developer.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!

  1. Would Insomniac ever agree to a partnership with Microsoft to make a Banjo-Kazooie game? Sounds like a match made in heaven

  2. we're focused on creating and maintaining new IPs that we own these days. But never say never, of course.

I was just asking about the future and a what if scenario but it looks like Insomniac has multiple new ip's :)

@ Ryuu, yeah that would be a pretty lame E3 in my personal opinion. They need to announce at least a few new things, not just the same stuff we know about already.
