Why not, Dante was a recruitable guest character in the original release, the updated release replaced him with Atlus' Raidou because they were both demon hunter badasses that used guns and swords. Why not use Pitt or his attitude filled clone, since they are Nintendo characters that use similar weapons and their angelic background while different would fit somewhat in the setting?
I get that Pitt is different from the standard Angel types in SMT games but if you can have Jack Frost why not a Pitt?
