Nintendo, for god's sake!

Nintendo is nowhere near existing the market so i would say SEGA, but on the other hand that is completely impossible now. The new SEGA is not the SEGA of old. All the talent basically left and wont be coming back.
I dont think things would go well for them if they came back, besides the Sammy management is atrocious and has only diminished the size of the company over the years.

I'm going to go with sega, i never owned either of those systems, although i owned older ones such as commador 64 and spectrum zx

Definitely Nintendo.

They have far better series than Sega IMO. Plus, if Nintendo went software only, they might not try as hard and lose quality just like Sega unfortunately did.

If I understand the question... Nintendo. Their games don't really interest me anyway, so it's cool if they are all exclusive to a platform I probably won't own.

I hate to say it.. as much as I love my Saturn.. and my Dreamcast.(And my Gamegear) I would have to go with Nintendo.. the fact of the matter is.. Sega just does not belt out the classics like they used too... or if they do it's very rare... I was certain at first if Sega ever came back.. they would be the Number One First Party company.. but I look at some of their current offerings.. and it just does not inspire much confidence.. and I would never want Nintendo to sink to that level... I think Nintendo makes a great first party company... and while they may not belt out the best.. most powerful hardware.. they usually make up for it where it counts... if they went Third Party... I don't think they would.. and seriously.. seeing the hate Nintendo gets from fans of other systems.. I don't see them lasting that long either... no one wants to be in a fantastic kiddy world.. (Actual commit I read somewhere) they like being in realistic worlds where a clown can punch a Ninja in the face.. and a gallon of blood pops out.. but the face somehow is realistically in one piece and the Ninja is still standing almost like a Flea bit him.. and fighting like nothing ever happened... Or Weapons and Ammo just magically appear all over the map... out there for anyone to get.. It's almost enough to make you want to say.. If that is realistic to you... point me to your dealer.. cause I want some of those drugs.. :P (I know they are talking mainly about graphics... but I still love making a little fun every now and then..)

Nintendo. Sega is far from what it once was. What madness is this anyway?

I know, but i am an old SEGA fanboy so if i could have the old SEGA back in an alternate world, i would choose that wihtout a second thought. :)

Sony would benefit more from going to software only because most their ips sell in the 3 million and lower range and spread that across more consoles would greatly increase those numbers where about Nintendo sales would go up sure but they are already pretty beefy in their software sales anyways so a double in sales for Sony's ips would be better then another million for Nintendo software.

But on topic i feel as though if Nintendo exited the market they would return very shortly where about i dont think Sega will ever return
