Forums - Gaming - Core exclusives Sony (PS3) Vs MS (X360).

Its official, you cant play exclusives from before 2010. There is some sort of kill switch that renders them useless.

People buy whole libraries, not time sensitive ones or even exclusive ones.

I think the guy used 2010 because the launch of Kinect and Move... to show how the two companies supported the consoles and the new accessories.

I've just realised as well, he says at the bottom of his picture that the games cannot be available on any other platform; but then lists Ratchet: Q Force; PlayStation All-Stars & Sly Cooper. Error.

MLB '12; MLB '13; Atelier Ayesha; Atelier Meruru and soon Disgaea 4 will all need taking down, too.

edit: MLB '10 & MLB '11 as well actually, which were available on PS2 & PSP.

I think it is the case...

Exclusive Retail Games Definition
XBLA and PSN Games not taken into account

Only Retail and not XBLA or PSN... most of games you listed is on digital only on Vita.

Where is Splinter Cell: Conviction or Alan Wake ?

Like I said, the list is convenient

This is a pretty convenient list isn't it?

Leaves off several years of the life cycle (years in which the PS3 had almost nothing, and most of it was trash), and doesn't list MS console exclusives that eventually found their way to PC either. You add all those in, and that list looks a lot different.

In the end it comes down to what you like. PS has a lot of variety, I give them credit for that, but the fact is there isn't a game on that list I would enjoy playing more than Halo, Gears, or Forza. That seems to be something a lot of PS fanboys don't understand. I always hear "that's all you've got!" Maybe they should stop to consider that those games are a hell of a lot of fun.

And what list does Microsoft have from the previous years? Let me see the same three games you mentioned aside from jacking most of the developers the PS2 had exclusive. We had MGS4(greatest game ever made), Uncharted, and Resistance.  What exactly was trash about PS3's early years? Even GT Prologue outsold Forza lol

Sure those games you mentioned can be "fun", but let's face the facts here. Gran Turismo, Uncharted, God of War. How is that not comparible to what games you just mentioned? Aside from those three games look at that list of games PS3 has. The exact reason behind Sony's overtaking of the 360. Three games will not get you very far idc how fun they are. People want variety, quality, and quantity. PS fanboys understand very well what variety is and quality(core gamers). I don't see that with any of the titles you mentioned. The only thing Microsoft does is pump out the same three repetitive games along with fable.

Oh btw on that list is The Last of Us which trashes all Xbox exclusives ever made.

Wow.

Has it ever occurred to you that some people prefer Halo, Gears and Forza to God of War, Uncharted and Gran Turismo?

If I had to chose one of those groups, then I'd chose the first.  If I could mix and match then I'd probably chose Halo, Uncharted and Forza.

Of course it occured to me, which is why I made a comparison between somewhat similar games all blockbuster games that poeple would prefer just as much. What my point is aside from just those 3 games, do you not notice a gigantic gap between console exclusives? Exactly very simple
