So few days ago Hideo Kojima say that on a tweet he did about a MGS remake

"Well, if there's some creator or team in this world who has love and passion to remake "MGS1", I would love to ask for it."

After that statement the company behind the remake of Abe's Odyssey "Just Add Water" send a letter to Kojima here what they write to him:

Dear Mr Kojima,

We read with great excitement on VG247 that you were looking for a studio to work with to develop a Metal Gear Solid remake using the Fox Engine, that your team has been hard at work creating.

We at Just Add Water feel ideally positioned to do the remake justice for several reasons:

1. We have experience working with legendary IP (Oddworld Inhabitants) and treating the subject matter with the respect it deserves.
2. Many members of our team are huge Metal Gear fans, with very good knowledge of the source material.
3. We really, really want to do it.

For evidence of our abilities, please check out not only the HD treatment of Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath, released on PlayStation3, VITA and PC, but the current re-creation of Abe’s Oddysee, titled Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty.

We eagerly await your response.

Imo a company w/o the neccesary experience required for a game of this caliber & especially experience with next generation graphics & 3D games in general is better to be avoided, my pick would be Naughty Dog obviously they have a very good relationship with Kojima & Kojima seems to respect those guys very much, especially after I play TLOU my respect & aproval of these guys skyrocket I really believe they can pull that off & give MGS the attention & detail it needs.

What do u guys think? who is more suited to remake this LEGENDARY game?

I'm not sure if Just Add Water are even sure what they're asking for. They could remake Metal Gear 2 or something, but MGS? lol Twin Snakes is better than their Oddworld remake.

Naughty Dog, on the other hand, is at the different end of the spectrum. They're one of the best studios in the world, It would be a waste of talent for just a remake. Them being capable isn't even in question; a remake, even of one of the best games ever made, doesn't deserve the "attention and detail" they would bring it.

Was that letter fake?

It's incredible that a dev team actually responded to that.

Ninja Theory (Everyone loves it when they reboot stuff, plus they could get Andy Serkis to play snake because fans would love that)
Precursor Games (they did it before, why not again)
High Voltage (look at that great work they did on ZOE HD, imagine the framerate)
Hijinx Studios (Man that Silent Hill HD was polished)
Spark Unlimited (Legendary, Lost Planet 3 all the hits)
