Rockstar's Toronto division is hiring for a new project that's an open world game for next-generation consoles like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Rockstar Games has made a name for itself with the Grand Theft Auto franchise but also with quite a few other great titles like Red Dead Redemption or Max Payne 3.

Now, besides preparing to release GTA V this September, the studio's Toronto division has posted a new job listing for an environment artist who'll work on an open world next-gen game.

The ideal candidate will design, build, and texture the game's world and "get the most from next-gen consoles."

No other details were given about the project, so it's unclear if Rockstar is already starting work on a potential Grand Theft Auto VI, seeing as how the upcoming V will only appear on PS3 and Xbox 360.

I can't wait to see what a next gen game looks like from them though.

why do you say that? after the success of RDR i wouldnt be surprised if rockstar are working on another new IP

I honestly couldn't tell you. It wouldn't surprise me though seeing as the Canadian studios are usually the one's that put out the best games.

I hope they remember to make it fun instead of pretentious

if Toronto worked on GTA, it will be so peaceful , you steal someone's car your character will stop and be all sorry about it.
