| Michael-5 said: Wait, youre best of 2014 included Dead Rising 3, and a mispelled Destiny, but not X? ...wow... X is the best looking game of 2014 so far to me, it's the only really amazing looking game to me so far. XenoBlade Chronicles was one of the best JRPG's of last gen, and this game looks to blow that out of the water. The Division and Destiny look okay to me, they both draw a lot of influence from MMO's, and these just never turn out as good as they could. These 2 games, like Borderlands, Elder Scrolls or FFXI, strike me as games with tons on meaningless missions, which artificially extend the games length. I don't like games like these because they just take way too much time out of my life, and I don't feel rewarded for beating them. I feel like my time could have been better used. I know X will likely be a 60 hour game like XenoBlade Chronicles, but what made XenoBlade great was that throughout the game, something was always happening. Except for maybe 5-10 hours of excessive travel time, or pointless grinding, I felt that the enitre game was just so intense from start to finish. |
Dead rising is cheap fun. Its never going to make any best of lists. Its not worth paying attention to and X will most definitely be up there but I dont think it will make a 2014 release. Games like that take time to make sweeter. I predict a 2015 release.
