Is Nintendo being too "picky"?

I Nintendo being to “picky or fussy” with games being released on the WiiU?

Just as an example, I just saw reports online that Dungeons & Dragons: Chronicles of Mystara For Wii U "Has Been A Bit of A Nightmare" for the producer. Apparently, Nintendo found a bug in the online part of the game and has sent Capcom back to fix it, thereby delaying the game’s release on the WiiU. Note however that the game has already been released on PS/360, but there is no word on whether the game on those consoles contains the online or any other bugs.

So is Nintendo being too picky about things, this game and in general – and can Nintendo afford to be, considering the languishing sales of the WiiU and the constant delay in games being released for the console?

the game is out and there is no word if it contains the online part of the game?

They release a game every full moon, they want their game to be top notch, I can't knock thm for that. Just hope people still care about their hardware by the time their done.

Don’t follow the hype, follow the games

Hmm...well, I've generally been in favor of Nintendo's policy of taking as long as necessary to make sure the games are fine...but if it's withholding a game that's already been released for the sake of a single bug...

I haven't heard anything about a major gamebreaking bug for that game (though for what it's worth, I haven't kept hugely up to date with it)...so I think I would agree with that here.

well nobody knows how the Wii U "works" yet, even Nintendo, so no.

and yes, because they had 2 years for make games.

so the answer is yes and no.

no, that's meant to read contains the online bug. I assume ps/360 versions do have online play, but i'm not sure.

I often question Nintendo's decisions, but their stance on quality is fine with me.

I'm with nintendo. Quality products above hasty releases.

Delays > Unfinished, buggy products with occasional updates and patches.
