So, never played it. By the description, it's just a point and click game. Steam has it on sale for like $6.50 though. It also won some goty 2012's. So what are your thoughts on the game in general. It's the telltale game one, not the activision one lol.

I thought it was alright, but not even close to GOTY material. Seriously... But then again I'm not into TWD so I guess I didn't enjoy it like a fan would.

As a game, it's as much of a point-and-click adventure as Heavy Rain is. So more like "choose your own adventure" kind of thing.

No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.

It's hardly a game.

If you are into stories, I guess it's fine, but if you like to have actual enjoyment with games, you won't like it.

I could only get to half of the third chapter before I got bored.

You're telling me you haven't played it yet? :o
Buy it now and get dragged away in the world of clem and lee ;)

Opinions are alot more divided then I thought.

Fairly average game. It has a good story, but it is ultimately a point and click game.

The problem with a game like this is it is based on you caring for Clemtine and while it is obvious that she is not going to die throughout the game, especially with the episodic based format. You could get around this if it was genuinely immersive, but it really really isn't

The gameplay is poor and has awful technical issues in some versions of it. Whenever you have to do anything other than talking to people it is complete pain, even things like navigating the environment are somehow done poorly

It's a decent game. Don't go into it expecting incredible gameplay. I found it boring at times. It's more of a story driven game so if you prefer story over gameplay then go for it. Don't know what all the GOTY hype was for though, it seemed a bit average to me. Still worth it for 6.50$.

Its got a very good story and can be quite shocking and emotionally impacting (dat ending)
However often you get slumps where it can be quite boring, and most of the choices fail to have impact.

Hardly worth game of the year, shame it beat titles like Far Cry 3.

EDIT: I am a fan of the Walking Dead series as well, and actual gameplay wise I think Heavy Rain had better interactivity

If you are willing to play a game purely for the story and are satisfied with a point and click style of "interactive" gameplay go ahead.

Incredible game. In my opinion the best story in a video game.
And very much worth $6.50.

Way better than I ever expected. Shows why you don't need top of the line graphics to totally invest the gamer in an experience. Not really a game and it holds your hand. Still one of the fondest memories of gen 7, for me. I loved it.
