10% of all the threads in here are dedicated to the belief of near supernatural sales levels of this, so I think it was/is expected by a whole lot to be a multi million seller. Those other games are a tad more obscure though, possibly with slightly less appeal overall.


Read my statement. In February 2007, we didn't have anything about Wii Fit other than a name. It wasn't until it was shown in the summer that we even knew anything about it or even a rough release date.

All for PS3
PES and FIFA will make 2m, because the user base in Europe will be double the size at least, and the last two have sold well over 1m. Also, PES 2009 will actually be good.
White Knight Chronicles is unlikely for 2m, just the 1m
NFS will make 2m, same reasoning as PES, the next one should be good, and pro street has sold just under a million despite being awful
RSV 2 should be a million seller, the last one sold 0.5 (guessing 200k sales in Europe), so this one should sell much more with the simlutaneous release, and basically double the user base

We didn't even have the name. It was called alternately Wii Health and Wii Health Pack.

Though there were plenty of people speculating about it being the next Brain Age or Wii Sports just from those placeholder names!

crazzy, let's look at what exactly you are predicting

a) 20 million ps3 user base by end of year
b) 15 2-million+ sellers

so you are predicting that FIFTEEN ps3 games will be bought by at least 10% of the ps3 user base

there were like 5 ps2 games that sold to 10% of the ps2 user base?

i'll make a statement right now...EVERY SINGLE wii game titled Wii ____ that releases at least 1 year prior to the next Nintendo home console will sell AT LEAST 2 million WW

20 mln. is a reasonable number for non PS3 supporters, i guess. =)
Geow sold around 3 mln. practically in 2 month. with 8 mln. x360 by the end of 2006 0 THNX to that, x360 owners mostly were shooters lovers.
3 mln. is almost 40% of userbase. =]

You see, game like Shin Sangoku Musou 5 in Japan sold to 20% userbase on First week sales.
First week/month sales make gardcore gamers/fans, so it doesn`t matter what userbase, unless game is casual oriented.

Pro Evo on Wii has no chance of being a 2 million seller. In all reality, neither does Metal Gear Solid 3. Each game in the series has sold LESS than the one before it and with the userbase, I am not sure this game will make it to 2 million in 2008.

Tekken 6 will certainly not make the 2 million seller list in the first year.
