If you are defending these corporations who are violating your rights, your loyalty is probably a little bit too high.

No. Its about video games. I will not let something like this impact my want to play X1 video games.

Fair enough but it's not just this. "I see so" many other issues with Microsoft that staying loyal to their Xbox brand puzzles me. How bad does it have to get for you to change your mind? I mean even the most loyal of fans have a breaking point. What's yours? What will it take for you to say "Fuck it. Halo isn't that good. I'll buy a PS4 or Wii U instead"?

Fixed. A lot of what you see as issues are actually not for the Xbox fans.
You are also quickly stereotyping Xbox loyalists to "Halo" fans just because you seem to do not see any other values into the Xbox/Live system.
I think (and my guess it is the same for a all the people who want to buy an Xbox One instead of a PS4) that the Xbox One offering is just way better than the PS4... And not only because of Halo... You need to understand that. We can list here all the reasons why... But it does not matter right? I think that by reading to a lot of threads here, many people already listed plenty of reason why they are excited about the Xbox One and the Microsoft ecosystem in general... No need t repeat it for the 100 times...

This has been known for almost 20 years now. It's only popular to talk about now because NSA is the hot topic nowadays. Ask any computer engineer and they'll tell you that since Windows 95, Microsoft has been building a backdoor in to every Windows computer with a program called NSA Key.

If you can provide proof that sony is doing the same thing then please do otherwise dont make accusations without proof it just shows your bias and discredits your arguments, also just because these are orders from the government doesnt mean its okay for them to follow them.

Oh... Because you have proof that Microsoft is "working" on their own with NSA? I mean other than rumors on the internet of course...
Sony needs to follow government rules like any other company on the US soil, not sure why you would doubt that.

While this thread should be about what governments are doing (NSA); it is just being used by a lot of people for another reason to flame another Microsoft versus Sony debate. Sad.

Ok i never brought Sony into this Debate at all, and other then @endimion's post (which i have no idea where he was going with his post) there was no mention of Sony and the Playstation, @Nightsurge brought this whole flamebait of Sony vs. MS into a thread that OBVIOUSLY WAS NOT about that, and you have not helped the situation.
This thread was to show the "Evidence" of MS working with NSA an yes there are other companies that are working with the NSA such as Apple and Google, but the main Difference between Sony and all those Companys is that all of those comapanys are based in the US and Sony isn't (different set of rules) and also the fact that there is "NO EVIDENCE" to support this claim and as soon as you find it i will be right by your side fighting Sony on this matter, but until then Do not bring Sony into this Discussion when you you have no evidence to back your claims and when this thread was to Shed light on MS policies.

lol... Dude just breath out, seriously :)
Stop bolding/underlining your words like that, it makes your replies very annoying to read (and sounds or looks very aggressive actually). (and please becareful if you plan to reply and imply that people are not intelligent enough to understand your points. They simply disgree with you or have a different oppinion).

Now, If you really believe that a company as big as Sony (America) is not required to follow the gouvernment rules on US soil and you need evidence or proof to believe it; then I do not see how we can even have a conversation about the topic. I'm genualy happy for you if in your mind Sony is all white, nice and not evil like Microsoft is (or any big US companies if I read you well)!

Enjoy your weekend; in the mean time I'm going to buy my second Surface RT for my wife from this big evil company (-150$ woot).

Well if you are reading my posts then you should know to STOP bringing Sony into a Discussion about Microsoft, and honestly I dont care if my posts look "agressive" i am not being disrespectful and i am not breaking any rules and sry that it is annoying you but I am trying to get my message across. And you are the one who takes it upon themselves to argue this point when so many times i have asked you to stop because it has no point in this discussion as it is not about the company Sony and as it says In the title It is about Microsoft.

We got your message 10 replies ago... Disagreeing with you is different than not getting it...

We will not stop to bring Sony America into the discussion just because you seem to be bothered by that and you believe they are not like any other US company; it is your problem, not mine, just stop reading this topic if it annoys you. Even if you keep bashing and bolding your arguments :)
Sorry to disapoint you here but we will bring and talk about Sony like you did and few others if we want too!

and I wonder why people are specifically worried about Kinect ????? I don't know you but I know exactly when and what is going in and out of my local network.... when my Xbox will be in standby mode I'll guarantee you nothing will reach MS if I don't want anything to reach MS....

people speak about privacy and protecting it.... but do you guys actually take the steps to protect it ???? do you encrypt your e-mails with PGP, do you stay behind an efficient maintained firewall, do you encrypt your surfing and telecommunication using https and VPNs ?????

cause if you don't why the hell are you here talking about privacy and security if yourself obviously don't care????

Yeah well i guess all you really want to do is compare the two, and fine you arent being disrespectful in that sense but it still does not help your argument on this topic, and you can believe whatever you want to believe, you have that right but the difference in how I see it is I need proof to make accusations about Sony like i have about MS. And i am not bashing you with my Bolded text's sry if you are taking it that way, i dont bash people for having an opinion. And i feel like you have been trying to Derail this thread by Bringing Sony into a MS Discussion and trying to make MS not look as bad for the descisions they have made with the NSA situation. So the way you have reacted has shown me that your not here to discuss MS and the NSA but you have come here to compare it to Sony (with no proof mind you) and this thread was NOT made to be Sony vs. MS, and also what do you mean by "we"? you seem to be the only one now bringing Sony into the discussion to compare the two (as @nightsurge has stopped).

well what proof do you need??? if the gov asks any company legal to provide info they do it's not like they can say "no we won't" like a arrogant kid to there parents.... the only reason Sony might not have been part of it would be because besides gaming it's not like Sony has much to share anyway....

this is a good point actually, the NSA spying through Kinect would be pretty laughable and inefficient.... I doubt many terrorist game in the first place at least the kind that are angry against USA.... but even if they do I doubt they are building bombs and having sensible conversation in there living room in front of Kinect....

if I trust MS.... yeah I do just as much as I trust any company I do business with or provide personal information to not abuse them more than what I have signed up for....

and I don't believe a second Kinect will be exploited for intelligence gathering it would be pretty stupid and a big waste of time and resources for not much results if any.... the logic behind people thinking that Kinect might be used for anything else than maybe collect data for advertising (which usually are anonymous because ID is irrelevant in that case) is plain stupid.... there is absolutely no viable reason to do so....
it'd be utterly useless and inefficient when they have already way better places to source more accurate and better targeted information.....

ok I'm done with NSA Kinect MS thread they are just stupid illogical and unfounded.... they have no ground.... it'd be like trying to catch a fish with a stone when you have a harpoon standing by.... you might eventually get one but it'd be retarded to use it since you have a more efficient way readily available to get the fish....

now all off you go download Tor browser and PGP, only use https URL, subscribe to a VPN service and invest in a hardware firewall or stop talking about privacy issues.....

Sorry, but I'm not even reading anymore... We got it 15 replies ago and looks like many disagree with you. Maybe I would read or continue to have a sane debate with you if you had stopped to bold/underline you text like that; this is just so disrespectful to other members...  You need to learn how to discuss on a forum without doing that and make other look like in-intelligent people who cannot understand your points without having to hammer them 15 times in our face.

Good luck with your ego.

I have to say that this one is good :)
