Never said they did, if you actaully understood what I wrote I said the Vita won't hit 8mil unless theres a price cut or Killzone/Tearaway prove to be system sellers which could happen if advertised.

Lol that's precisely what your post says BlowoverKing, "I believe 3DS can do it BUT it all DEPENDS." Like I said, I read it as it was written. It sounds completely like you are saying 3DS hitting its numbers depends on Vita lol, why else include "but" and "depends"? Could have just said 3DS will, Vita may or may not lol.

It was two different statements "I believe 3DS can do it" talking about 3DS (conjuntion) "It all depends on if Vita get a price cut..." talking about Vita.

The PlayStation Vita will not hit 8 Million by years end if current sales and trends have absolutely anything to say about it. The 3DS has a possibility of getting 18 Million, but 16.5 Million to 17.5 Million seems more likely.

I tried to do research on this when comparing (and lining up) the release of D/P on DS to X/Y on the 3DS. For D/P's affect on HW (lined up release dates, total number) I got 648'067 units sold. So, you could probably expect something around or over 650'000 in total for the 3DS when X/Y comes out.
(You should probably take these estimates with a grain of salt, though. Many factors go into sales of HW.)

It's up to how big Pokemon pushes it, you have to remember 3DS isn't that popular in Europe and it's still not doing impressive in US after the price cut.

At this rate it's going to need 4m in each region this holiday, which isn't a lock for Europe or US.

If Vita gets a price cut I guess it can do it with Killzone and Tearaway coming this year's end. I'm not afraid of its performance in Japan, plenty of games are coming and I can see it growing fast in userbase there.
3DS can easily do that, it's MONSTA HUNTAA and Pokemon we're talking about !
