What Nintendo has going now in terms of "achievements" is perfect. They don't have a universal achievement system so games that don't need it don't need to have it, nor feel pressure to. But, Nintendo has recently been adding in certain "Badge" systems into their games. Animal Crossing: NL and Pokemon B2/W2 for example.

As of now, that is enough.

Actually Badges would be a good name for Nintendo .

Nintendo medals

Nintendo coins

Nintendo stars

They all sound alright,

My grammar errors are justified by the fact that I am a brazilian living in Brazil. I am also very stupid.

In a perfect world, Nintendo would make an occasional M rated game (1), they would make a console Pokemon MMO (2).....and they would actually pay attention to what MS and Sony do (3) ;)

(1) Eternal Darkness (you didn't specify a timeframe :P)

(2) The World wouldn't be able to handle the awesomeness

(3) I think they do, but for the better or the worse they simply don't seem to give a fuck...

Yes, both of their competitors has been doing it for years now, I think it's unnacceptable that WiiU did'nt launch with a similar feature. And Miiverse would be a great way to look up at eachothers trophies.

This sounds apocalyptically awful.

How so? Why on Earth wouldn't you want all three console manufacturers to be mirror-images of one another?

True, there is nothing wrong in learning with the success of other, they should have medals or coins, it would be cool. Specially in games like ZOMBIEU, I almost bought a WiiU for that game, it is a shame it did not reached expectations in sales.

I don't want to be in a position where I cannot decide what to buy, and end up getting everything / nothing D:

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Yes, but only if the developers wants to.

They should integrate their "COINS" from the Nintendo website into the WiiU and 3DS system and allow the opportunity to earn more coins when playing certain games.
