Fire Emblem GC and Fire Emblem GC2 are awesome games. So, FE needs to continue on consoles 

I would love to play it on the Gamepad and with Miiverse integration, but it is a franchise which doesn't need flashy graphics. In fact flashier 3D graphics on the Wii version's map acted as a bit of a distraction from the more traditional display.

i wud love for them to do it because radiant dawn is my favorite FE but if they want 700k they are gonna need to keep making them for 3ds...

I'm guessing this is Nintendo's way of saying that we're never getting a Fire Emblem for the Wii U.

Well even though we dont have a release date im pretty sure this game would come out late 2014, and by then Smash Bros, Mario Kart and Bayonetta 2 would have come out and the Wii U installbase would be much bigger, which would make it not impossible for it to sell 700k.

Just look at Kid Icarus which sold 1 million + units dispite it being a dead franchise, and when the 3ds was in hot water and not selling very well.
