It's a good idea, but I wouldnt think they would release a console on a Sunday, just not the day to launch.

Dunno what it is, but am hopeful its a new IP and something different. Everyone is mentioning Sci-fi, that would be nice.

Hmm .. why not .. most gamers would have the day of anyway to get in line for their favorite console :)
I think it would be the perfect they for gamers and the retailers as well ;)

I think the general problem would be online retailers etc would not be able to ship them on the launch day etc. Its just a bit problematic... not to say it wouldnt happen. I still think 13/Nov is launch day :)

How about 3rd party characters that actually make sense and aren't just advertisements for future games (Crash, Spyro, old Dante, Lara Croft PS1 style, and a FF7-12 character or two).  Either 3rd parties were being dicks and overcharging or Sony wasn't opening the wallet up for Superbot (I think the later because the menus and lack of game modes made it look like a cheap downloadable title.  Superbot was pretty terrible and tried to make a deep fighting system with only super kills which was dumb.  Just outright copy Smash with ringouts and percentage games instead of getting rid of some of the best gameplay parts and still being compared.
