Surprising though how this number isn't surprising huh?

What I'm most surprised about is how few copies it's selling. There haven't been any big games released lately, and summer is one of those times of the year where the oppressive heat begs people to stay indoors and game near a fan/Air conditioning. Also, these numbers were likely minutes after shipping out another wave of copies, so it'll be quite a long time, possibly a year or two, until these shipped numbers become sell-through. Also, it has an online pass, which means Sony fans are hypocrites. And they smell bad too. Let's see, any other spin I can milk out of this game?

Hmmm, yes it's doing well, but it hasn't pushed any ps3 sales.....proof that the dedicated graphics console is on its way out.
Better scores than 99% of games, but yet can't outsell a lot of them....guess Sony fans really do only hype their exclusives without purchasing them.
Yeah, Naughty Dog did a great job, but what, it took them 7 years to put out a big hitter? Halo 3 was pushing boundaries 6 years ago.
Poor AI, predictable plot, mind-bendingly short, it's a wonder that ps gamers call themselves "the hardcore". Mostly casuals buying this up.
Includes digital sales? Well, if ps store was more robust (Like XBL) I'd say that's great, but I doubt Sony can handle uploading even 100k copies over their meager infrastructure. They had better pull it together next gen if they think they can compete with 300k servers.

I concede, I concede!

Too much logic for me to go up against.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Expected, given that it is a summer release. If Call of Duty was released in summer, it would do 200 million with ease.

Wow selling so much during the summer, the slowest part of the year, is incredible and it's sold to the consumers not including digital, right guys???!!!!

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Its hot but perhaps not as hot as Wii and Xbox 360 maybe due to piracy issue,
but PS3's original software sales is highest over here in Malaysia, maybe around 10:1.

That is correct. When I was in Malaysia, my friends that had the 360 never bought original games. they got pirated games for RM3-5 depending on location. rather than paying RM170-230 for original games. That's why.

The game is sold out everywhere so a lot of people bought it digitally. Those are sell-through numbers. The game is on its way to 6-7 million!

My girlfriend said she will give me this game or BioShock Infinite.... soooooo cute.

where i live we only have Blockbuster, Sainsburys and morrisons who sell games as all 3 have been out of the game since launch day.

I assume you live in the UK? Odd that you dont have a dedicated game store by you.

unfounrtunatly its like here in kiddy, gamestation closed down, so most of the supers stores are a better option
