The X1 has a 500Gb hard drive instead of putting more ram in it let us download as much as we want, I downloaded 20 Gb of rams a month ago

First, it's GB.  Giga Byte.  Gb is Giga bit.  You didn't download 20GB of RAMS.  RAM is Random Access Memory.  You downloaded 20GB of content that used 20GB of storage on your hard disk drive (HDD).  A HDD is not made up of RAM.  If you're going to talk about something, use the correct terminology and in the correct context.

On the Xbox One you can do the same.  When you're done using it, you can then delete it and download it again at a later date when you want it or attach an external HDD of your chosing, and copy the content to the external HDD so you don't have to download it again.  Likewise, if you're going to criticize something, make sure you're educated about it before possibly making irrelevant criticisms.

The Xbox One has a set amount of storage available to users internal within the box, but they have unlimited storage online and they have the ability to use any external USB HDD or USB memory stick to store archival content on.

NEWSFLASH: You already have unlimited storage in all of your current-gen consoles. That game you purchased and deleted a few years ago can always be re-downloaded. No, this isn't personal storage space, but it doesn't need to be. Games don't need personal storage space.

So unlimited storage huh? That's great for game saves. Doesn't make up for the lack of removable HDD though.

Look at the name of the website. It's fake.
Sorry to disappoint your people. You all just got trolled.

This late into development I think it is unlikely.

However it isn't impossible. None of the consoles have shipped so it would be a case of just putting in the new ram.

One thing is for certain MS are in a far better position then Sony financially to take a big hit. They could easily change the specs if they wanted to as they already did that with the 360. With all the negativity since E3 about the X1 I think it is more likely MS will try and win people over. Would not surprise me to see the price drop a lot before the official release. I think that is probably the more likely thing to happen.

Isn't 12 gigs of ram a bit much? I don't know much about specs but I can play most games fine on my pc and I have 4 gigs of ram.

@ Adinnikien

Yes MS confirmed 12 CUs after the reveal there was a big article about it.

12 CUs mean 48 TMUs 768 Shaders also Rops were confirmed.

Wasn't there a rumour like this a couple months back. I don't think it's going to happen.

The rumour was the opposite, a GPU downclock.

didn't they just go on record for saying that console specs aren't important? lol
