Unless PC counts, yes. But nobody counts the PC in the system wars. Now, the Wii U can play Wii games, of which I have plenty, and Wii U games, of which I have two.

It has been. I've spent more time this year playing it than anything else, and it's the only console I've bought games for on their release date since 2011.

VGChartz
Vgchartz is my main console or is it a game. I occasionally play big bricked consoles such as PS3 and small bricked ones such as Wii Wii U too.
As soon as Mario Kart 8 and the new Smash Bros is released, it'll be my main console to play for a looong while.

yeah right....keep telling yourself that.

Nintendo is the king of local MP. Smash and Mario Kart are unrivaled as was Goldeneye (still fun when I go play it with 3 other people). Sony used to have TImesplitters and Twisted Metal and LBP are still a blast but it's too bad they don't invest more in this area. |
Totally agreed. My N64 and GC were great for local MP. They should have kept up and transferred that to online MP, but that's not the case. I highly doubt I'll use the local MP feature in any of their upcoming titles like Mario 3D land.
Playstation = The Beast from the East

Sony + Nintendo = WIN! PS3 + PSV + PS4 + Wii U + 3DS
I don't know why people always count Wii U out like it is some worthless piece of crap. You guys act like Nintendo's 30+ years in software/hardware creation amount to nothing. Yeah my main console will be Wii U because Smash Bros. 4 and Mario Kart 8 will be on it and it only. That's the power of Nintendo's franchises. You can't get them on anything else but a Nintendo. The Wii U is off to a rough start but I see a bright future for it. Once it finds its groove that is.
It is, and will remain my main console and excluding handhelds most likely my only console.
My reasoning is thus: I only buy one console per generation, anything else is a waste of money as there will always be more than enough content for any console to take up way more time than reasonable for video games. So, I just need to decide which one I need to get.
I know with confidence that f I get a Nintendo console I will get a Mario Kart and a Smash Brothers game that will be of the very best quality. That's all I need to know. These are games I will enjoy, and my kids will enjoy for the rest of the generation. In addition I am fairly confident that there will be a number of other excellent games available for the Wii U.
I also suspect that from what I have seen of Microsoft and Sony, there will be very few offerings I would NEED to get. Sony came close with Infamous since my youngest son really, really wanted that game, but in the end, one game is not enough to justify buying a second console. For Microsoft it looks even more laughable. I have a hard time seeing anything offered that I can't get a similar experience on a platform I already own. (With the exception of a NHL game from any publisher)
it is mine, I have nothing to play on PC to play right now. And I still have a ton of Virtual Console and other Wii U Games I have to playtrough.

yes but software sales matter to Nintendo
