| Gamegears said: JRPG.. though I actually hate the Minigames.. to me that is what destroyed Final Fantasy... (Well maybe not so much that.. but the fact that you basically *Had* to do them... not you had a choice to do them or not) The thing about WRPG.. is the fact that most are very seldom any better than a first person shooter or a First Person Action RPG... and frankly.. I just don't care for that at all... (Though I will say this.. I do love Never Winter Nights Series on my PC... along with some other D&D RPG's but other than that.. forget WRPG) |
What r u talking about? ~.~ I don't know for which FF u speak but in FFVII for example u weren't forced to do any of the mini games in Gold Saucer there was a lot of mini games like Snowboard, Submarine, Motorcycle, Basket & more & u did some of them just once at some point & that's it, after that it was just for fun (although u could win Gold Saucer money if u were good) so what mini games destroy your FF playthrough? & if u speak about chocobo breeding that was also not necessary to do to finish the game (Gold Chocobo was needed if u wantet to fight Emerald & Ruby weapon not to kill Sephiroth), & in FFVIII & IX other than card games which again no1 forced u to play I don't remember any other mini game, in FFX Blitzball was part of the game this one can't be called mini game, btw I loved playing Blitzball & manage the team search for new talented players to recruit etc.
