The anime has to gone to shit.

One of the saddest things in life. They raped the anime so badly its not even remotely funny

I also hate how they make as if part of the fillers are actually part of the story URGH!! Naruto use to be one of the best animes out there buts its been all downhill since this whole war saga started.

Anyways the games have been awesome ever since the PS2 days. You so right about how fun the Multiplayer is Its one of the few fighting games im actually good at. I also put about 50 hours into completing the story mode in the first naruto storm.

Yeah, it is horrible. The first few fillers with the fights against the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist were tolerable, since those expanded on the manga, although you only saw the results of them in one or two panels originally IIRC. The rest of the fillers is horrible, the lowest point being the fucking episodes of "Yota". What enrages me the most - they used the most epic opening theme of the entire series so far on a fucking filler season. Fuck the anime.

Wow. I almost couldn't disagree more. The Yota filler episodes are some of my favourite fillers so far. Yota is a very unique character and I hope they use him in a future game. I also still love the anime, though some of the episodes have been less than great. You can simply drop the show for a year and only bother with the non filler episodes. Problem solved. I still enjoy them unless they go full ... stupid, such as the clones attacking Naruto and taking over a ship (that was simply embarrasing).

Anyway, OT: Not sure if interested in the game. The DLC has been nothing but stupid costumes so far, so no way am I paying full price for the extra short storyline. NUNS3 had tons of cutscenes but far from 80% of the game. More like 40%, which is a lot but still not terrible.

Thats what i did. Didnt help much too be honest.

I got too watch a few episodes of actual content and then it was back and forth between filler and actual content. The part that frustrates me about this is that for some casual joe watching naruto...they will think that this is how the anime is actually pogressing. Sometimes theres no clear distinction between filler and actual content. I dont see why they need to do that. Yes the manga releases slower than the anime...thats fine everybody knows that. But they can time the release of filler and story line in a structured way that doesnt detract from the actual story of naruto.

Not to mention that the animation is sometimes appauling. And i'm not even talking about filler...

It just feels like the people making the anime don't really care about the quality of the show as a whole.

And thats a shame because Naruto for me is one of the best animes of all time. And the only reason this is even argued is because of how the anime diverges from the manga.

I have faith though that at some point in the future the anime will be remade sticking close to the manga. Similar to what happend with Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood and a few other animes that have been remade.

I really don't see it ever being remade, since it has been the most popular anime worldwide for almost a decade now (so clearly whatever they're doing, it's working) and the manga hasn't even finished. The only thing I can see happening is something similar to Dragonball Z Kai (or whatever it's called), which was pointless in my opinion.

I'm fine with the anime diverging from the manga just like tv shows and movies do with books. Most of the fillers we've seen recently actually make sense as side stories even though they never happen in the manga. I too wish they had a big filler storyline instead of this mess, but I still find myself excited every Thursday for a new episode. Because of the fillers, Naruto has gone from a 10/10 to an 8/10 for me, but that's still pretty darn good. In other words, they're hurting the franchise, but not ruining it (yet). Can't say the same about poor Bleach :(

@bolded i dont think thats a testamont to what they currently been doing but rather to the strength of the brand coming on from the original series. Just goes to show that if you produce a quality show you will have life long fans that will probably stick with you forever. As one of those fans i never thought there will ever come a day where i find myself not watching the show. That day actually came recently and i completely gave up on the anime and proceeded to read the manga. I will obviously go back every once in a while to see whats happening.

I guess some fans will see it your way and be okay with how things have turned out in shippuuden. But i know for a fact that theres quite a lot of fans who also feel similarly to the way i do. Just seems like instead of investing more into a proven series they are actually cutting down on the investment. This will backfire in the long run obviously.

And while series like naruto and bleach start to suffer...we getting shorter more focused animes that are doing really well. Ive moved more towards this kinda anime nowadays. Anime like Steins Gate, Sword Art Online, Shingeki No kyojin etc. Quality animation, story, pacing, everything. I'm not really sure how anime compete with each other or if thats even an issue but i see the trend moving more towards the shorter series. Gonna be interesting to see how that pans out.

I think of the longer series One Piece has the pacing down pretty well. Very few fillers, and even those stay very close to the manga and only expand on the backstory or extend some fights. I don't think it'll stay like this, though. The anime and the manga are currently within less than 30 chapters

bout time they confirmed this lol it's been in the steam registry for months. Nice to see that Dark Souls success has convinced Bandai Namco to port over more games. Now if only thy brought over Jojo', Ni no kuni and Tales games.

I hope the port will be better, though. I don't want to have to install a mod again for a 1080p resolution...

That was more because FROM didn't really have any experiance with PC games (the producer wasn't even aware that people played games like that on PCs before the petition) plus limited time and resources. Dark Souls 2 is aparently being developed on PC first and has already been demoed running 1080p 60fps to press. Ace Combat: Assault Horizon which was brought over after was ported by QLOC who are pretty good with PC ports (they port most of CAPCOM's games to PC like DmC, RE6, Street Fighter IV etc) and I imagine they will also be handling any other port jobs.
