Totally unexpected, pretty sad beginning but awesome game

Come on. Even if you were on a total media black out for the game, basic mathematics would foreshadow what happened in the prolog.

While it may not have been completely unexpected, it was still quite a shocking and emotional moment.

Don't worry. We'll pretend those tears were manly.

 I don't know what buzz you're trying to kill but it was a very quick and shocking moment. I don't care how much math you're spouting on about it.

Somebody on here understands BASIC FORESHADOWING. I'm so happy.

Specifically, the kind of foreshadowing that makes you say, "oh she's gonna die" the second the game opens.

About my experience with the beginning of the game:

When I started the game I didn't know anything about the fact that Ellie was not Joel's daughter since I didn't really follow the development of the game, so Sarah was a big surprise for me. But I instantly knew that she wouldn't make it and prepared myself not to attach myself emotionally to the character, which wasn't a problem since she died like 5 minutes into the game. I honestly didn't feel a thing despite the fact that it always kinda sucks when a kid dies.

Should I even dare to look at this?
