Nvidia has SLI figured out. The driver issues are minimal, micro-stuttering is non existent and frame latency is as good as with a single card.

Whaat??? I deal with it a lot, fool!

You shouldnt be dealing with it a lot if you've enabled adaptive vsync

Infact read up on that whole section about microstutering as even without adaptive vsync, nvidia spanks AMD in SLI in terms of microstuter.

Ha, silly me. I didn't enable it in the CP.

You go to manage 3d settings... down to vertical sync and change it to adaptive vsync if i remember correctly.

That's not comparable with how AMD's GPU's are today in regards to Microstutter.
AMD made some big improvements with Catalyst 13.5, those benchmarks used Catalyst 12.11 (Beta) and Catalyst 12.9.

You can also download RadeonPro and get Adaptive V-Sync with AMD cards. (I wish AMD would support it out of the box, GAH!)

Just a shame that no single card can push the resolution I'm running with acceptable framerates, I would be all over that like flies to poop, so I really don't have a choice but to go multi-GPU.

What did you expect?!

Please excuse my bad English.

At the end, if the Radeon HD 7990 does get discontinued by the end of this quarter which seems highly possible, then it could be the shortest lived flagship graphics card with a time span of just a few months..

I'm pretty sure the Nvida fx 5800 Ultra(a.k.a the Dustbuster) hade less time on the market.
