I'm considering it. It does look like an interesting title. But I have never played any of the previous installments. I may have to remedy this first. Would you (or anybody else) recommend playing the older games first?

Are the added bonuses for the first run "Limited Edition" every where or just select retailers type thing?

I believe its a Gamestop/EBgames exclusive deal as they're the retailers that usually do these 'free upgrades'.

OT: I've already preordered the collectors edition

Started checking around. I think Amazon has it as well.

The thing about the Tales of games is that with every installment they start with a new story and new charcters so you don't need to play any of the previous ones to play this one, but if you want to pick up a Talea of game cheap to see if you like it before getting a $60 game I understand and I would reccommend getting Tales of Graces f for the PS3 or Tales of Vesperia for the 360, I loved them both and you can get them pretty cheap.  Look them up and see which one you think you will like better.

I did have the collector's edition pre ordered but due to penny pinching to save up for the PS4 and getting a few games with it at launch I'm going to have to cancel it. : ( Oh well I'll still buy it just not at launch.

You've convinced me.

And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

Already pre-ordered :) If you have not yet, please do! If we can show that we all still love jrpgs then we can get even more in the future and not have to beg for them!

I don't pre-order games, but I will get this game for sure.

i had the day 1 edition preordered but i had to cancel it due to money issues. the game can wait, i still havent beaten Graces f

Man, they could port this to the 360 and Wii. :( And then get the PS3's Vesperia localized. Everyone wins.

Ah, I see. So it is akin to the Final Fantasy series before FFX (with respect to the direct sequels). Well that's fine. I'll get the older Tales game on PS3 for a test run, but what I saw in the trailer for the new game was more than enough to convince me on making a purchase. I'll likely pick it up when it releases.
