Apparently someone in China got their hands on the Xbone controller and did a teardown with pictures.

I don't know what people expected what it would look like inside. If you disassemble technical stuff it always looks unimpressive and the pictures are bad quality, too. Still, the controller is really awesome and it seems the rumble-feature has been pushed to a new level by MS.

It's true.

I've had to disassemble numerous controllers from a range of different consoles and it's true, they all look lame from the inside.

Well, I think you can't  expect anything non-lame. It is a pcb with stuff on it.
