Don't know. Metallicized finishes generally wear really well. Though scratches as you mentioned are a problem. The biggest problem with metallicized finishes is aherence to the plastic. But typically where that is a problem, automobiles, you're talking about something that sits in the son all day and bakes. So the plastic is heated, leaching out the oils, which then aid in the separation of the finish from the plastic. I don't own, but I like the chromium finishes of the blue and red controllers. Though I appreciate the criticism that they smudge too easily. That would be, after all, understandable. Gold isn't my favorite color though, so this would only interest me if I had the Star Wars Xbox 360 S and wanted more controllers. I do wish I had the Star Wars Xbox 360 though. Possibly the best Xbox 360 model released. |
Ah, the joys of plasticizes in the heat! Yes, the other metallic colours look cool too.
It’s funny you mention Star Wars. I just finished the ‘Jedi Destiny’ of Kinect SW. It is very physical. And I actually got better at playing the game and it’s more fun when you know what you are doing.
And started ‘Duels of Fate.’ It does help coach you on how to fight light saber duels which would have been helped on Destiny.
Sure there are some frustrating tracking issues – much like on some original Wii Games, but most of it works well enough. It makes you see how close it was to being amazing and revolutionary. I wonder if they will ‘remake it’ for the Xbox One and new Kinect.
