Yeah, its the same developer and publisher from Dark Souls. So that is a direct sequel, but Sony has teased that we might see some more Demon´s Souls.

I have demon's souls from plus. But haven't had the change to play yet. :))

Gears for me although BioShock could have won but for the weaker second game. The rest were all excellent IP's though and its not unfair to give the title to the likes of Assassins Creed, Uncharted or Mass Effect. Maybe Rock Band should have had a honourable mention too as it was amazing.
