Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24 GB & RX 7900 XT 20 GB “RDNA 3” Graphics Cards Leak Out

https://wccftech.com/amd-radeon-rx-7900-xtx-24-gb-rx-7900-xt-20-gb-rdna-3-graphics-cards-leak-unveil-next-week/

Now that I think about it... The only leaks that we have been getting recently are in regards to the 7900XT/XTX... I get the feeling AMD is going Nvidia's route and will only be offering high end replacements but we will see...

Some AMD Ryzen 5 7600X Desktop CPUs Comes With Dual Zen 4 CCDs

Luckily only one CCD is active so they aren't doing some wacky 3 cores per CCD. Still a bit unusual as previous Zen CPUs had one CCD for lower end chips.

And could be for the same reason: To sell out their stock of last gen GPUs first. Both AMD and NVidia probably ordered way too many chips during the height of the crypto boom and chip crisis, and are now sitting on big stocks of unsold chips and GPUs that need to get cleared out first.

Yeah, I saw the video when Der 8auer found it out by surprise.

Maybe AMD ordered too many chiplets and are using this to get rid of excessive stocks? Though that would be very wasteful for them, it would be nice if someone could disassemble one of those extra chiplets and see if they could be functional if correctly wired to the I/O chip.

Given that they'll launch the first RDNA3 cards, the two 7900 by the end of November or early December, it makes sense that we don't get as many leaks about the other GPUs that are further away and will probably get announced/launched by CES.

And there's also the fact that we get a lot less leaks/rumors regarding AMD's GPUs than Nvidia's, which further explains why we've got so little info regarding Navi 32 & 33.

I doubt AMD will throw away perfectly working chiplets just for the sake of it. They're not rich enough for that.

Those are probably dead chiplets that, for some reason, AMD decided to install on the CPU, but hell if I know why they did it. (Maybe for a structural purpose to give the heatspreader a better support?)

Nvidia confirms its latest driver is causing problems in Modern Warfare 2

https://www.pcgamer.com/nvidia-confirms-its-latest-driver-is-causing-problems-in-modern-warfare-2/

If Nvidia's goal is to make this launch the worst in their history, they are so far succeeding in it...

Shit Drivers - Check
Overpricing the 4080 - Check
Shipping a power adaptor that causes fires - Check
Unlaunched a product because it was so badly received - Check

Tune in next week when Jensen's leather jacket will start world war 3...

Me after the recent driver update and being completely hesitant to download the latest one

ngl, nvidia's got me spooked to not bother with the latest driver updates, and it makes me feel more secure in simply waiting for 3-5 months and researching which drivers are fucked and which ones are decent, something none of us should ever have to do.

So what, Nvidia got jealous of all the attention Intel was receiving for its drivers and decided that they wanted some of it?
