Space Biker simulator REBEL GALAXY released on Steam

http://www.pcgamer.com/space-biker-simulator-rebel-galaxy-released-on-steam/

By my reckoning, 'Space Biker' is only one rung down below 'Space Cowboy', so the release of Rebel Galaxy is sure to please anyone who's still pining over Firefly.

From the same guys who made Torchlight, Space Galaxy is a 'swashbuckling space adventure, with action-packed combat, exploration, discovery, trade, and “negotiation” with the outlandish denizens at the edge of the known universe'.

ONE LIFE is a multiplayer FPS that locks you out forever when you die

http://www.pcgamer.com/one-life-is-a-multiplayer-fps-that-locks-you-out-forever-when-you-die/

The asymmetric multiplayer stealth-horror game The Flock was built upon a unique interpretation of limited access: The game would have a limited population, (the titular Flock), and once that population had been killed off, it would stop working forever. One Life, which recently appeared on Steam Greenlight, takes a similar idea even further. It's a multiplayer shooter set in a post-apocalyptic world in which you'll literally have just one life, and once you eat a bullet, you'll be locked out of the game forever.

Wireless Xbox One controllers out for Windows 10 only

http://www.pcgamer.com/wireless-xbox-one-controllers-out-for-windows-10-only/

Good news! Microsoft has started shipping PC adapters for wireless Xbox One controllers. Bad news! It sounds like they only work on Windows 10, according to the official description.

Buying the adapter alone will set you back $24.99, or you can get it bundled with a controller for $79.95. Is it worth it? That's a tricky one.

That news on Ubisoft really cracks me up.

There's no way on this earth are they for real, not for one second do I believe they will suddenly just turn around and make stellar PC ports or pay extra attention to PC gamers let alone change or kill their DRM client.

And given that it's a forum I just expect patch talks if anything or talks of delaying the ports to GTA V levels.

The best part is when Ubisoft says that they are "comitted to understanding and addressing PC gamers’ needs" .

They've been making PC games and ports for 20 years and now they have to understand PC gamers? Who are they trying to fool? It must be themselves, because we know better than that.

They've been one of the longest in the race (I actually think EA has been in longer) and yet they still haven't improved in thw two decades. There's no way in hell are we going to fall for such a tactic when they know they are enaring another Creed release, it;s like WD all over again and I just also noticed this snipped of news from last year: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/ubisoft-wants-to-earn-pc-gamers-trust-back-will-further-optimize-its-titles/

Same tune no actions were taken or spent, that group they joined also don't appear to have much influence on PC gaming because I've not seen them netioned until now nor has any other PC gaming news outlet or gamer mentioned them before so they really don't have a vast importance that the Ubi PR claim.

Also the whole "thought leaders" line is total bs, they aren't leaders of anything at all except maybe beating everyone to the punch in milking all their franchises into the ground. I'll continue to just ingore every Ubi release like I've done for the past few years and I've managed fine so far, no sense in spending big money on products that won't work on my system and give me a lesser experience.

The Open Gaming Alliance is, as far as I know, a platform to promotes PCs as gaming platforms. Don't be surprised if most of the analysis talking about how big PC gaming is or how much it grows have some connection to them.

As for Ubisoft joining them... well, the reasons are as silly as they can be, but it's better to have them onboard than going solo. And speaking about Ubisoft:

ELITE: DANGEROUS surface recon vehicles detailed in lengthy video

http://www.pcgamer.com/elite-dangerous-surface-recon-vehicles-detailed-in-lengthy-video/

Frontier Developments hosted a livestream earlier today demonstrating the forthcoming Horizons expansion for Elite: Dangerous. Horizons – as we've detailed thoroughly before – will introduce planetary exploration to the space sandbox via SRVs, or surface recon vehicles. We've seen a little bit of footage showing what the actual surface of planets will be like, but the video above shows a solid hour worth of space dune buggy action (skip to the 7 minute mark to get straight into the action).

PAYDAY 2 studio steps back—very slightly—from microtransactions

http://www.pcgamer.com/payday-2-studio-steps-backvery-slightlyfrom-microtransactions/

Last week, developer Overkill introduced microtransactions to Payday 2, despite saying—back in 2013, admittedly—that it would never happen. The change came as part of the Black Market update, that delivers random loot drops to players via locked safes. The catch is that you'll need drills to bust them open, and a drill will cost you a couple bucks in real money on the Steam marketplace.

TOXIKK Early Access beta gets new sci-fi themed map

http://www.pcgamer.com/toxikk-early-access-beta-gets-new-sci-fi-themed-map/

The humble arena shooter appeared to be at the cusp of a huge resurgence earlier this year, but at the moment it feels like we're waiting for a huge title to usher it in properly. Whether that will be DOOM or the forthcoming version of Unreal Tournament is yet to be seen. Toxikk is among the brighter of the indie arena shooters in development, and Reakktor Studios is still plugging away at it. Just yesterday they rolled out V.09, which introduces a new map, Dekk, among other things.

http://www.pcgamer.com/mighty-no-9-definitely-wont-be-delayed-again-inafune-pledges/

Kickstarter-funded platformer Mighty No. 9 has been delayed a couple of times, much to the chagrin of its loyal followers. That's not going to happen again though, according to creator Keiji Inafune, who addressed the topic at the 2015 Unreal Fest in Japan earlier this week. According to a report on GameSpark, the Mega Man creator attributes the delays to the game's multi-platform development. In addition to PC, it's releasing for PS4 and Xbox One.

Well, Halo 5 releases in a couple of days on Xbox One and according to Frank O’Connor, there is plenty of chance to see this title coming to our platform.

NOCT, the creepy top-down survival horror game, is now on Early Access

http://www.pcgamer.com/noct-the-creepy-top-down-survival-horror-game-is-now-on-early-access/

Most survival games take place in janky 3D worlds, but Noct is different – it takes place in a horrific monochrome wasteland played from a top-down perspective. It also incorporates Lovecraftian storytelling and enemy design, and based on what I've seen so far it looks promising. There's no point speculating anymore though, because Noct is now available on Early Access, with a full release expected in Q1 2016.

UNREAL TOURNAMENT gets spooky Halloween update

Unreal Tournament sure seems to have a lot going on for a game that's not even in full alpha. Spooky!

FALLOUT 4 will require a Steam download, even if you buy it on disc

http://www.pcgamer.com/fallout-4-will-require-a-steam-download-even-if-you-buy-it-on-disc/

For that second group, there's some bad news regarding the coming launch of Fallout 4: Even if you install from a disc, at least part of the game will have to be downloaded from Steam.

Blizzard is making a Battle.net Voice Chat system

http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-is-making-a-battlenet-voice-chat-system/

When Blizzard announced the beta launch date for Overwatch last week, it (somewhat surprisingly) said the game would have built-in voice chat. Now we're learning that it won't just be part of Overwatch, but built into Battle.net itself. A post on the Overwatch blog said that Battle.net Voice Chat will launch as part of the Overwatch beta, and that it's "still in its early development and testing stages."

Duelyst, the 1v1 online tactical combat game, enters free open beta

http://www.pcgamer.com/duelyst-the-1v1-online-tactical-combat-game-enters-free-open-beta/

Duelyst is a an online tactical combat game in which players choose from one of six unique factions, each with its own battle units and spells, and square off in turn-based, 1v1 battles. It cruised through Kickstarter last year, earning double its $68,000 goal, and while it's not quite ready for full release just yet, it is ready to play.

Really enjoying the Witcher 3 expansion so far. POTENTIAL WITCHER 3 HEARTS OF IRON SPOILER NEXT TWO SENTENCES:

Just finished romance dialogues with Shani. Also playing on Death March I died nearly 15 times fighting Olgierd. The frog wasn't so bad but Olgierd tore me a new one.

I have mixed feelings about both the Steam Link and Steam Controller.

I really like how the controller controls in games like The Witcher 3. It also seemed to work decently although not great to play CIV 5 on my TV. Not nearly as fast as a mouse or PC but faster then an xbox controller. Using it in the walking dead was bad as the game had a difficult time telling if i was using a keyboard and mouse or xbox controller. It played very well in Skullgirls and for whatever reason I really enjoy the left D PAD for fighting games.

Steam Link has been a mixed bag, even know I Have a 5ghz Wi-fi connection within 10 feet of my router (only one wall in between) most games ran very poorly or aduio was bad on Wi-FI. Until I hooked up my powerlink to it then games were smooth and most audio issues were fixed. Additionally, game crashes are more frequent then I would like causing me to get up and move to the PC. Defeinitely needs some more improvements. I played some Broforce with my friend and the walking dead with my wife and local co-op worked well. The only problem is finding games that will work with Steam Link

Oh man I grabbed Broforce on sale a few days back, we should all totally play some co-op/multiplayer games sometime. I also happen to dabble in some Titanfall/Planetside 2.
