When playing CoD.. waiting for console players to load in a level.. Can't wait until more people move onto next gen consoles.

Also that RT comparison is quite legit. The game looks great on the PS5 (demo) despite the use of some questionable assets. I find the lighting is really good in RE Engine games and runs (scales) well.

Warzone lobby is ruined. They only go into a game when it hits 150 players, but it takes forever to fill up. Me and my mates are waiting more in the lobby than actually playing. So we moved on from it.

Looks like AMD's answer to Nvidia's DLSS is taking so long because it will be cross-platform, meaning that they want it to work on both gaming cards AND both consoles.

At least, that's what Linus says:

Halo 4 gets a cool third-person mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/halo-4-gets-a-cool-third-person-mod/
Miguel Ortega has released a cool mod for Halo 4 that lets you experience it in third-person mode. In order to showcase his mod, Ortega has also released a gameplay video that you can find below.
Going into slightly more details, this mod allows you to experience the entire campaign of Halo 4 in a third-person view. The modder has also introduced some gameplay changes.
For instance, Ortega has removed all HUD elements (such as screen shake) and has altered most of the oversized reticles. Additionally, he removed the energy bar and has given more ammo and accuracy to the human weapons. Active Shield is also infinite (and players can toggle it off and on whenever they want).
>> Available from Nexus Mods.

The Sinking City publisher defends its decision to put an 'adapted' copy of the game on Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-sinking-city-publisher-defends-its-decision-to-put-an-adapted-copy-of-the-game-on-steam/
Last night, developer Frogwares took the unusual step of issuing a DMCA takedown notice against its own game, The Sinking City, in order to force its removal from Steam. The move was the latest step in an escalating dispute between Frogwares and publisher Nacon, which began in April 2020.
Today, Nacon issued a statement in response to the game's most recent removal from Steam, repeating its assertion that it is "contractually the sole exclusive distributor of The Sinking City on Steam," and that despite Frogwares' claims, it has paid the developer what it owes.

The beautiful Minute of Islands is the latest delay after a hard year for game development
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-beautiful-minute-of-islands-is-the-latest-delay-after-a-hard-year-for-game-development/
Minute of Islands was revealed in the summer of 2020 as the story of a tinkerer named Mo who lives on a chain of islands filled with strange, dilapidated machines that must be kept running in order to hold some ancient threat at bay.
It was expected to be out later that year, which obviously didn't work out—it was a tough year for everyone, after all. In February publisher Mixtvision committed to a March 18 release instead, but unfortunately that's not going to happen either: Alluding to the ongoing challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company said today that "major technical issues" came up in the most recent round of testing, and that's scuttled the launch plan.

Wasteland 3's next patch will add more difficulty options, including permadeath
https://www.pcgamer.com/wasteland-3s-next-patch-will-add-more-difficulty-options-including-permadeath/
Wasteland 3 continues to be updated, with the post-apocalyptic RPG receiving patches like the one inXile called "Save Scummer's Delight", which reduced load times by up to 60 percent, and one that buffed the swearing parrot and cyborg chickens.
The next update is called "Death & Taxes", and will bring Wasteland 3 up to version 1.3.3. If you've already finished the game and are looking to make things harder, this sounds like the update for you.

FIFA 'dynamic difficulty' lawsuit dropped after plaintiffs talk to EA's engineers
https://www.pcgamer.com/fifa-dynamic-difficulty-lawsuit-dropped-after-plaintiffs-talk-to-eas-engineers/
In November 2020, Electronic Arts was hit with a class action lawsuit alleging that its patented Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment technology was being used in games like FIFA Ultimate Team to push players into buying loot boxes. (...)
Today, however, EA announced that the lawsuit has now been withdrawn, saying that the plaintiffs dismissed their claims after it provided them with "detailed technical information and access to speak with our engineers."

There's a big-budget open-world Dungeons & Dragons game in development
https://www.pcgamer.com/theres-a-big-budget-open-world-dungeons-and-dragons-game-in-development/
At the end of 2019 the president of Wizards of the Coast, Chris Cocks, said there were seven or eight games based on Dungeons & Dragons in the works. We know about Baldur's Gate 3 and Dark Alliance of course, and now, thanks to a tweet from Hidden Path Entertainment, we know about one more.
The creator of the Defense Grid series, as well as co-developer of CS:GO and Age of Empires 2 HD, posted a series of job listings, saying, "We are in development on a AAA, third-person, open-world fantasy RPG that will be taking place inside the Dungeons & Dragons franchise." This was backed up by its project narrative director Whitney Beltrán, who has written for games like State of Decay 2 and Beyond Blue.

This Japanese indie mech screams with the sounds of 90s anime
https://www.pcgamer.com/this-japanese-indie-mech-screams-with-the-sounds-of-90s-anime/
Sorry, everyone. Despite positioning myself as the self-proclaimed Mech-liker on staff, I've never actually been huge on Gundam. I simply prefer my giant robots to look a little less toylike, I'm afraid. But while I'm not that hot on how Mecha anime often looks, I'm a sucker for how it sounds—and in that, Vulture: Unlimited Frontier absolutely nails its target.

Hitman 3 roadmap brings new contracts, outfits and a seasonal event
https://www.pcgamer.com/hitman-3-roadmap-brings-new-contracts-outfits-and-a-seasonal-event/
IO Interactive has unveiled the March roadmap for Hitman 3, giving Agent 47 new contracts, new outfits, and an Easter egg hunt.
The new events kick off now, with The Lesley Celebration Escalation Contract taking place in Berlin's nightclub. Agent 47 can also don the new ridiculously named Tactical Turtleneck outfit by returning to the ICA Facility and completing the final test. Next week will see featured contracts from Easy Allies arrive, as well as The Stowaway Elusive Target Contract on the Isle of Sgáil between March 12 and March 29.

https://www.pcgamer.com/diablo-2-resurrected-will-let-you-pick-up-where-you-left-off-20-years-ago/
Excited about the upcoming Diablo 2 Remaster, but worried about losing all those hundreds of hours of progress built up over decades of playing the original? Worry not, adventurers, because it turns out those old saves will work perfectly with Diablo 2: Resurrected, letting you pick up right where you left off.

Marvel's Avengers is making levelling... grindier?
https://www.pcgamer.com/marvels-avengers-is-making-levelling-grindier/
(...) As part of the game's next major update, which sees Hawkeye arrive on March 18 (another problem with Marvel's Avengers: the DLC so far has focused on the most boring characters), the game's levelling system and loot is being completely reworked. And it's being changed in a manner that suggests the future for this game—as has seemed inevitable for a while—may be free-to-play.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti to feature cryptocurrency mining limiter

https://videocardz.com/newz/nvidia-geforce-rtx-3080-ti-to-feature-cryptocurrency-mining-limiter

Technically a rumour but pretty obvious it will happen. The leaked specs are:

"Maybe the current spec is 10240FP32, 12G GD6X 19Gbps"

Optimum Tech did a video where he compares the typical listing price of GPUs instead of just their MSRP as we know that many AIBs have increased their prices.

TLDW, if you can get the gpu close to MSRP, buy that as AIB prices are craycray.

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

Meh. Since learning that Nvidia's anti-mining thing only works for Ethereum, the feature has lost almost all its real purpose.

The 3080Ti will be a great card as usual, and maybe Vivs will be able to get one.

That's why I bought a basic black and white printer. On the rare blue moon that I actually need color printing I just drop by a copy shop.

You must have gotten a laser printer, because it's impossible to buy a black and while ink printer, at least over here.

Those things still exist?

I haven't seen a black-and-white printer in ages in the stores, not even among laser printers.

Also, copy shops still exist? Our last Mr. Copy closed down years ago here...
