I don't disagree with you. But maybe we should wait until we know more about the show before we start criticizing it.

Who knows, they may even get it right!

I'm not so sure. The last two shows have had them doing the exact same thing, and PCG doesn't like taking criticism very well. They continue to make "best of X" lists, and lack benchmarking articles and other PC gaming related news. Hell, they love covering and pissing off people on that site with RDR2 news, despite the fact that there has been no inkling of info that definitely suggests a PC port is coming. They excuse it with "it's definitely coming, since GTA V came two years later", while they ignore the lot of us calling them out on having used that excuse multiple times, yet they refuse to listen.

I will change my view of PCG when they stop acting casual and ignorant.

I would like to see a chunk of time dedicated to showcasing the tech/rendering side of things. But that's just me personally.
I don't have time to sit and observe all of E3 though, so hopefully there is a TLDR version at some point.

I don't mind them having a bit of a tech showcase for games (not just "wow, look at the latest intel CPU"), but I would like the show to run for about an hour or two, and not 4 hours of non stop gabbing of games, and not showing much if anything of them.

I want to see talk of PC games as well, and not just the same exact devs that showed up at any of the other E3 booths during the week. I'd also love to see some devs that aren't just indie related. I got bored to death with the last two PC e3's, with the majority being all talk and little to show, with a lot of early access resulting from those events (either mentioned during the event or released onto Steam as an early access title after the event). I want to see some devs that have a complete game to show off, and not one they plan on using early access for, because that is one sure fire way to kill most of my hype and general excitement for a game.

back in 2013 I thought ea was alright, but fast forward to today and now even AAA devs are doing it that it ultimately cheapens the feel of the game, as well as making PC look like a massive beta testing cheap rent a mule service (Whatever happened to knowing what people wanted, knowing what you were able to accomplish and then simply acting on those parts?).

I do hope this year's PC e3 comes with some games to really grab me, and not just a load of gibberish and indie early access titles either.

Well. On the games front, hopefully they showcase PC exclusives rather than one of the endless sequels in a franchise like Battlefield or Call of Duty.

eh, I don't see them showing off Cod or BF. I would definitely like to see some PC exclusives game footage. I don't want to see anything from MS regarding Xbox, but they can definitely do with showing us some AoE IV footage.

What I really want to see, are RTS and city building titles, rather than typical indie platformer/open world early access survival games, let alone F2P games.

I wonder if the devs behind Two-point hospital will show up again.

I agree with you on the RDR 2 part. I don't post the articles about it because as far as we know it's console exclusive, and I'm not sure it will come to PC. After all, the first one didn't.

PC benchmarks is something that fewer and fewer sites do, but it's easy to understand why. You need a lot of hardware, both CPUs and GPUs and it's very time consuming.

I think I still have the CDs of the first two games, from their original PC launch. Great games that I have both on Steam and GOG.

I wouldn't mind a bit of showcase, either a new engine tech demo or that ray-tracing demos that we've seen. But I'm affraid that it will depend on who is the sponsor of the show.

It would be the perfect place for MSoft to show the first gameplay of Age of Empires IV, and even Ubisoft could show Anno 1800.

Hmm, I think I owe some of you an apology regarding the article about the PC Gamer's E3 show.

You see, the article says "This year we'll be broadcasting on Twitch, Facebook, YouTube, and Steam on Monday, June 11 at 3 PM Pacific" and, for some reason( maybe because I was tired and/or sleepy, or because I have a small brain-fart), I read that as the conference lasting from 11 to 3PM that led to my comment on the show being 4 hours long, which is completely incorrect.

So, again, please accept my apologies.

Atomic Heart is an alternate Soviet-era shooter that echoes BioShock, Nier: Automata and Stalker
https://www.pcgamer.com/atomic-heart-is-an-alternate-soviet-era-shooter-that-echoes-bioshock-nier-automata-and-stalker/
Atomic Heart's abandoned Soviet-era setting echoes Stalker. Its incongruous architecture, reclaimed by nature, and hostile automatons reflect Nier: Automata. And its ensemble of gibbering nasties, first-person perspective, and, of course, penchant for battering baddies with blunt objects reminds me of BioShock.

Acram Digital games removed from Steam for review manipulation
https://www.pcgamer.com/acram-digital-games-removed-from-steam-after-review-manipulation/
Indie developer and publisher Acram Digital’s board game adaptations have been removed from Steam following an announcement from Valve confirming that the company engaged in review manipulation. Acram had two games on Steam: Eight-Minute Empire and Steam: Rails to Riches, both adaptations of well-regarded board games. Frustrated with negative reviews, it appears that a member of Acram’s staff, Grzegorz Kubas, took it upon himself to post multiple positive reviews for their games.

Electronic Arts will 'push forward' with loot boxes in future games
https://www.pcgamer.com/electronic-arts-will-push-forward-with-loot-boxes-in-future-games/
Loot boxes have been a real source of trouble for Electronic Arts in recent months, beginning with a furor over their implementation last year in Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and growing from there into a wave of international criticism. Yet in a recent earnings call, EA chief executive Andrew Wilson said the company is going to "push on" with loot boxes, and challenged the common complaint that they are a form of gambling.
