http://www.dsogaming.com/screenshot-news/deus-ex-mankind-divided-new-beautiful-screenshots-released/

Square Enix has released a new set of screenshots for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. It’s pretty obvious that EIDOS Montreal has used a sharpening filter in these new images, so let’s hope that this option will be available in the game (similarly to The Witcher 3’s sharpening filter). Otherwise, yeap, you can – somehow – consider the following shots false advertisement (unless of course you use Reshade to sharpen the game’s visuals). Deus Ex: Mankind Divided releases on August 23rd.

BLIZZARD TENTATIVELY AIMS ITS NERF GUN AT WIDOWMAKER

http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-tentatively-aims-its-nerf-gun-at-widowmaker/

In the depths of Blizzard Entertainment, the first round of Overwatch balancing is being debated. McCree is getting a sure-fire nerf—Fan The Hammer is being debuffed to be less of a tank-killer. D'Va will be buffed in ways we're not yet sure of. Now it transpires that sniper extraordinaire Widowmaker could be reined in, pending further talks.

STADIUMS COME TO CITIES: SKYLINES IN FREE "MATCH DAY" DLC

http://www.pcgamer.com/stadiums-come-to-cities-skylines-in-free-match-day-dlc/

Paradox Interactive has released a new bit of free Cities: Skylines DLC called Match Day that enables digital mayors to build a football stadium in their cities, attract a team, and then deal with the consequences: The ticket income is sweet, but traffic on game day can be a real headache. The DLC also adds new stadium-related policies, and there's a new hat (and new chirps) for Chirper, too.

STEAM DEV DAYS RETURNS FOR 2016

http://www.pcgamer.com/steam-dev-days-returns-for-2016/

Steam Dev Days debuted in 2014 as a two-day conference that brought game makers together to talk about their work, attend lectures, and get their hands on SteamOS and various bits of then-new Steam hardware. Valve elected to skip the show in 2015, opting to focus on GDC instead, but it's bringing it back for 2016.

http://www.pcgamer.com/wasteland-2-directors-cut-is-free-on-steam-this-weekend/

It's become a routine for Steam to offer up a (temporary) free game every weekend, and this time it's Wasteland 2: The Director's Cut. The sprawling tactical RPG is free for the next two days (until Sunday afternoon), but if you want to keep playing there's a 50 per cent discount, so you can snap it up for $19.99.

CUPHEAD IS A PLATFORMER NOW, NOT JUST A BOSS RUSH

http://www.pcgamer.com/cuphead-is-a-platformer-now-not-just-a-boss-rush/

Cuphead has always been gorgeous, but there's always been a bit of concern regarding whether it'll be fun. I played it last year and found it charming but also bloody annoying. It was a super-challenging boss rush, and that's a very niche proposition.

>>Cuphead may end being the new MegaMan game that fans wanted and Keiji Inafune will fail to deliver.

EXPLORE A FUTURE DYSTOPIA AND A VIRTUAL UTOPIA IN ADVENTURE GAME STATE OF MIND

http://www.pcgamer.com/explore-a-future-dystopia-and-a-virtual-utopia-in-adventure-game-state-of-mind/

Daedalic Entertainment, developer of the upcoming space exploration RPG The Long Journey Home, is announcing a new game called State of Mind at E3. State of Mind is an adventure that takes place in Berlin in the year 2048, a grim future of war, dwindling resources, and government oppression. Things are so bad people have begun abandoning their real lives, digitizing their minds, and transferring themselves into a peaceful virtual utopia called City 5.

That's it for the week. Have a good and gaming weekend.

They are ruining Cuphead and it makes me so sad. This has been my most anticipated game for ages now but that platformer trailer is straight up garbage

While it's true that it doesn't look great (but still better than Mighty Nº 9), they have made the right choice.

A game only about boss battles sounds great in theory, but in practice there are some problems (like leveling up and introducing new attacks) that those platform sections can help solve.

Niether of them should even be a thing. I played it at PAX Aus last year and the game was basically done. All they had to do was add some more bosses (some were locked on the demo there anyway) and it would be good to release.

Ugh, I really hope they just add a speed run/boss rush mode.

You played a demo? Lucky you.

Still, doing nothing more than boss fights can get boring repetitive after a while. You need to add new mechanics and new attacks to spice it up and keep it fresh.

And I don't have a doubt that they'll have a boss mode.

Looks like AMD plans for the PC Gaming Show have been revealed

AMD unveils three low-cost Polaris graphics chips for VR

http://venturebeat.com/2016/06/13/amd-shows-off-three-low-cost-polaris-graphics-chips-that-can-run-vr/

The products include the Radeon RX 480 graphics card, which can run virtual reality on a PC for prices starting at $200 for a four-gigabyte version. AMD is also showing the Radeon RX 470 and the Radeon RX 460 cards. They go on sale on June 29.

The Radeon RX 480 can run games at a 1440p resolution and in VR settings. The 470 is geared for high-definition resolution games, while the 460 is targeted as quiet chips capable of delivering esports experiences such as League of Legends.

We can guess that the 470 will also be powered by Polaris 10, and the 460 will sport Polaris 11. And I honestly doubt the 460 (and maybe even the 470) will be capable of VR gaming, but we'll see.
