It doesn't surprise me, sadly. Why blame the shitty game when you can just blame the platform?

Yes, I agree that if the thread doesn't contribute to anything but create more hate, mods should lock it.

It's very easy to blame the platform due to how it oeprates and how it cannot be tied down by anyone, because it's digital data around all sorts of areas cannot be properly defined, it's easier to just blame PC than blaming Capcom's shitty design and business choices, of course a few on here are more than happy to axe the platform over their fave Japanese company because of the franchise or corp brand, it just proves that brand tribalism is still alive and rife.

Using Steam Spy once again just goes to show that A) it's not concrete fact and B) it's just proving to me that the wrong people are using it to slander the platform, something I knew would come about with the advent of SS, rather than thinking "oh maybe we'll get some insight" I thought "who's going to use this to claim PC gaming is dying".

I honestly want to know why every week or two there is always someone on here trying to kick off crap with consoles and PC in some headline kind of way, it's becoming quite predictable over time once you see the OP.

I like to think that it's because of insecurity.

Of course, I know it's not that simple, but it makes me feel better .

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Does it mean that the GTX 970, with its 3.5+0.5 memory, is in trouble?

Can't wait for the new GPUs And even for the benchmarks. What do you think, which one will be the best fit for me, when I have a 2560x1080p 75Hz FreeSync monitor? Which one will allow me to get 60-75 fps in all games in ultra at this resolution? The rest of my rig is i5 6600k and 16 GB DDR4 RAM.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

That's less demanding than 1440p, and current cards like the 970, 980 and 390/X should do it for many, but not all, games.

The GTX 1070 could be your best (and cheaper) bet from Nvidia, and who knows if the big Polaris 10 from AMD could fill that spot too.

But I would wait until we get actual reviews because Nvidia has only compared the 1080 vs 980Ti/Titan X in VR scenarios, which might not represent its real life performance, and there's not enough info about the 1070 or Polaris to guess how they'll compare with the current cards.

When you try loading that 3.5gb Vram and get sent to the shadow realm because it wasn't enough.

Guess I'm not playing Battlefield then.

Just a heads up, I cleared my web browser of everything, cache and all, relogged into Origin and started up BF4 again, it shows me the servers and claims everything is A-OK but when I click to join any server I am met by that message and everything was working fine just the other night. Bear in mind that all my other games on Battle.net work along with Steam, my net isn't acting wonky or anything out of the ordinary.

Edit: It also seems I cannot sign into Battlefront either despite me easily being signed into Origin, unless someone could have grabbed my account, be signed in at the same time to cancel out my sign in, I don't honestly know what the fuck is going on and it;s rather annoying as I don't have this sort of issue with Steam/Blizzard.

Double edit: seems I finally got in on Battlefront, I wodner if EA are having network/server issues and haven't talked about it?.

I was thinking a 980Ti or the upcoming 1080 would be overkill for what my monitor can do. Something along the lines of 390 or 390X would probably fit better and due to FreeSync I'm leaning towards AMD, but if 1070 is really on par with Titan (don't believe it one bit personally), getting it would be a no-brainer. Arrrgh, the excitment about how both companies are gonna stack is starting to be too much Release 'em already!!

Do you think it will be possible to get a GPU that allows me to hit rock solid 75fps@2560x1080p at ultra settings in all games for $400 or less?
