Medal of Honor 1999 Unreal Engine 4 Fan Remake Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/pc-performance-analyses/medal-of-honor-1999-unreal-engine-4-fan-remake-released/
Now here is something cool for our Medal of Honor fans. Modder ‘Elber’ has released a fan remake of the Medal of Honor game that originally came out on PlayStation in 1999. This fan remake will allow PC gamers to experience this console-only Medal of Honor game.
As Elber claimed, he made all game logic from scratch. In other words, this isn’t a port or a remaster of the 1999 MoH game. Instead, the modder has recreated it in Unreal Engine 4.
It’s also worth noting that Elber has used the core gameplay elements and enemies from MOHAA 2002. The modder claimed that he did this in order to avoid extremely low-poly characters, animations etc.
I’ve tried it and all I can say is that it’s kind of cool. In terms of visuals, it looks better than the original 1999 version. However, it’s nowhere close to what you’d expect from a modern-day remake. So, make sure to keep your expectations in check. This remake uses assets that can look a bit dated.
I also experienced some bugs, like enemies flying around after being killed. Moreover, enemies could not go prone as they did in the original 1999 version.
What’s fascinating here is that this project seems to have all of the original missions. In other words, this is a fully playable remake, and not a demo.

Starfield Just Got a Neon City Fan Expansion Mod
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/starfield-just-got-a-neon-city-fan-expansion-mod/
Modder ‘MelodicJJ’ has released a new cool mod for Starfield that aims to expand the Neon City with the aim of bringing it closer to the promotional images. This is something that will please some of our Starfield fans. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
NeonExpansion adds to Neon City thirty-four shops with different styles and eight houses. Each shop has its own unique interior style and signboard. Furthermore, you are able to decorate any of the eight houses. Each shop and property also has a compact layout, making it more in line with the city’s character.
Neon City will also now feature more neon lighting effects and dynamic billboards. All billboards are brand new and exclusive to Neon City. In other words, they will not take the place of the original game’s billboards. Moreover, all billboards are replaceable, so you can freely change them to any patterns you like.
It’s also worth noting that the modder has adjusted and created all lighting and interior effects using the vanilla version. So, if you are using any graphics mods, you might get some conflicts or visual issues.
Those interested can go ahead and download this fan expansion from this link. At the end of the article, you can find some screenshots from it. These will give you an idea of the expanded city. Sadly, the modder has not shared a showcase video for it. So, these screenshots are all we have right now.

DLSS Enabler Can Now Simulate DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Gen X5 & X6 on Any DX12 GPU
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/dlss-enabler-can-now-simulate-dlss-4-multi-frame-gen-x5-x6-on-any-dx12-gpu/
A brand new version of DLSS Enabler has been released, allowing users to simulate DLSS 4 Multi-Frame Generation X5 and X6 on any DX12 GPU. This is something that may please a lot of users who wanted to try these MFG modes but were unable to as they are exclusive to the RTX 50 series GPUs.
Previously, DLSS Enabler could provide MFG X3 and X4 on any DX12 GPU, as long as the game already supported DLSS 4 with Multi-Frame Generation. In titles that support DLSS 4, DLSS Enabler can essentially “unlock” MFG so it can work on all DX12 GPUs. This means that both Intel and AMD users could take advantage of it.

NEW DAWN Redux Overhauls Skyrim Into a Modern RPG With 1800+ Mods
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/new-dawn-redux-overhauls-skyrim-into-a-modern-rpg-with-1800-mods/
Modder ‘Alucard’ has released a new version of NEW DAWN Redux, a modlist that has over 1800 mods that aim to overhaul Skyrim into a modern RPG. This modlist is a must-have for those who don’t want to mess around with all the different mods that have come out for Skyrim. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
NEW DAWN Redux adds dynamic, skill-based combat inspired by titles like Dark Souls and For Honor, featuring advanced physics and collision. It also full reworks animations in both first and third person, adding weight, realism, and impact to every action.
NEW DAWN Redux adds numerous DLC-sized fan expansions. For instance, you’ll get major mods like Vigilant, Unslaad, Glenmoril, Falskaar, and more. Moreover, it packs improvements to dialogue, NPCs, economy, exploration, and world behavior.
And that’s not all. NEW DAWN Redux adds a deep RPG system, with expanded perks, reworked magic, and meaningful progression. It also integrates Frame Generation for better stability and higher frame rates.
Version 1.2 adds new male and female face presets, along with new combat abilities. You will also get new camera presets, creatures, and new mechanics. Plus, it introduces several new followers, including Dagoth, Ciri, Geralt, Yennefer, Remiel, Ashe, and Sofia.

This wildly ambitious modpack transforms the third-person, N64 exclusive Duke Nukem: Zero Hour into a 'jank '90s FPS' for your PC
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/this-wildly-ambitious-modpack-transforms-the-third-person-n64-exclusive-duke-nukem-zero-hour-into-a-jank-90s-fps-for-your-pc/
Have you ever thought to yourself, "Boy, I wish I could play the third person, Nintendo 64-exclusive Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, but on my PC and in first person"? What's that? You don't think anybody has thought that before in the history of humankind? Well, I can assure you that at least four people have, namely the team behind Duke Nukem: Zero Hour Overclocked, a modpack that does all of the things I just described, and more.
I'm only being a little facetious. Hyper-specific labours of love are what the PC game modding community is about, and Overclocked is undeniably a cool project. Rather than being a single, unified mod, it's actually a collection of modules that tweak different parts of the game, designed to "make the game feel like a jank 90s FPS instead of the third person shooter you grew up with."
The modules, which can be turned on and off individually, include specific adjustments for graphics cheats, the HUD, progression, sound, and items. The most significant modules, though, are for the controls and the point of view. The controls module reformats the entire scheme to work in classic FPS fashion, replacing the N64's primordial analogue controls with snappy mouselook and dedicated keybinds. It also reworks Zero Hour's jumping to feel closer to Duke Nukem 3D, and adds several alt-fires to numerous weapons.
Then there's the modules that transforms Zero Hour from a third-person shooter into a first-person shooter. Again, this isn't just a straightforward camera shift. Overclocked reconfigures Zero Hour for first-person in a number of ways, tweaking camera and aiming behaviour for the adjusted perspective, remapping movement animation behaviour, and adding optional crouch toggle and viewmodel recoil when firing, providing extra feedback to your guns without affecting your aim.
It's a neat idea, and I'm not the only person who thinks so. Scott Miller, founder of 3D Realms, praised the conversion to first-person on X, saying, "We should have included this mode in the original release!" The original version of Zero Hour received decidedly mixed ratings on its release, but perhaps reconfiguring it into God's Own Perspective helps lend it a little extra juice in 2026.
Either way, you can download the Overclocked modpack via its official website. Aside from the pack itself, you will also need a copy of the Duke Nukem: Zero Hour N64 ROM to get it working. How do you acquire one of those? I couldn't possibly comment.
>> The article has an over 2 minutes trailer of the mod.

Broken bones, bodyslams and brutal executions—my no-guns return to GTA 5 story mode took an unexpected twist with this must-have melee murder mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/grand-theft-auto/broken-bones-bodyslams-and-brutal-executions-my-no-guns-return-to-gta-5-story-mode-took-an-unexpected-twist-with-this-must-have-melee-murder-mod/
I've changed my routine. Before now, my universal approach to combat in a no-guns GTA 5 Story Mode run was pretty straightforward. With the odds invariably weighed in my opponent's favour – simply because, you know, they have firearms and I don't – putting obstacles between myself and their line of fire was a given.
Vehicles, walls, trees, lampposts, in essence whatever piece of set dressing I could leverage to close the gap unscathed, before pouncing with a volley of fists and legs and headbutts.
Now, thanks to thalilmythos' Melee Executions mod, I am Ric Flair.
"Wooooo", I scream aloud as I contemplate a more contemporary wrestling reference having last watched during the Attitude era. Still, like a man possessed, I'm no longer lurking in the shadows as I face off against Madrazo's goons but instead charging down their sights, grabbing them by the waist and power slamming them into the Downtown Los Santos sidewalk.
I've long been obsessed with ragdoll physics in video games – from Garry's Mod to Baby Steps and everything in between – and there's something properly sumptuous about successfully landing the moves that define this compelling player-made monster, before sprawling out my foes on the concrete like vomit outside Clucking Bell.
With flavours of OG San Andreas' myriad fighting style set list, Melee Executions offers something fresh to the bounds of Grand Theft Auto 5 – which, as has been illustrated for the last 11 years, is testament to the unshakable creativity that drives, and has always driven, the hobbyist modding scene.
And it's not just wrestling moves on offer here. Kerbside Sonny Corleone-style beatdowns let you sweep enemies to the ground before stamping on them upside the head in one fluid motion. If you approach head-on, a sharp knee to the stomach lets you apply the same assault to an opponent's head, knocking them unconscious/dead before they've even hit the floor.
No-guns runs in GTA 5 are exceptionally difficult, but my latest has become impossible. Not through the lens of challenge, but through distraction and an obsession with power bombing hapless baddies for sport. That and screaming "wooooo" at the top of my lungs like an idiot.

Modder turns Sekiro into Tony Hawk-style skateboarding sim 'Jet Set Sekiro'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/modder-turns-sekiro-into-tony-hawk-style-skateboarding-sim-jet-set-sekiro/
Now this is what I'm talking about: Modder Ionian-MikiriyAKATotallyNotShinobi (god damn that's a mouthful) has come out with a banger on the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Nexus: Jet Set Sekiro, a custom skateboarding level where you shred around the Fountainhead Palace like the spirit of 2002 never died.
The channel Mod Server on YouTube has a great video of the thing in action: It retrofits Sekiro's normal animations for skateboarding gameplay, with a new movement system that functions exactly how you'd expect.
The new level, which appears heavily based on (if not just reusing the layout of) the base game's Fountainhead Palace, sees you rolling around and collecting spray paint canisters to graffiti tag select spots on the map.
It's a delightful little mod, and feels very much in line with the history of skateboarding games writ large. I'm thinking of how Darth Maul was an unlockable character in Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3, or Spyro the Dragon's various skateboarding levels in Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon. At a cosmic level, I feel like there's a kinship between Japanese action and skateboarding games, similar to the one between hip-hop and kung fu movies.

Make Skyrim's weather feel more impactful with this particle mod
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/the-elder-scrolls/make-skyrims-weather-feel-more-impactful-with-this-particle-mod/
I loved The Witcher 3's wobbly bushes. In the original version of The Witcher 3 they used to sway like they were singing Auld Lang Syne on New Year's Eve, and it really helped bring Velen to life. Particle Wind, a mod by RavenKZP, does the same for Skyrim.
It's not just the shrubbery that'll wobble in the wind. Particle Wind also affects fire, including torches and candles, as well as smoke, steam, the spray of waterfalls, and more. Watching the embers on an alchemy table burner spiral in a breeze or lanterns go horizontal in a strong gust adds more to the immersion than I expected.
You'll need to have SKSE and the Address Library for SKSE Plugins installed, but after that it should be a simple matter of downloading Particle Wind from Nexus Mods. If you find the way things blow around to be a bit much, you can tweak the effect in the ParticleWind.ini file you'll find in DataSKSEPlugins. Just alter the fDefaultStrength, maybe dropping it from 2 to 1.5.
RavenKZP is responsible for a host of useful Skyrim mods that add things you might not realize are missing until someone points them out. Their other mods include Underwater Bubbles, Universal Arrow Spin, and Weapon Switch Animations Complete, which gives you bespoke animations for a variety of weapon-drawing and -sheathing options the vanilla game lacks.
>> Besides links ot those other mods, the article has an over 3 minutes video of this mod.

The second part of the Monday gaming news:

PC Gamer's 'first can't-miss cozy game of 2026' has gone missing on Steam, and some players think Tetris is to blame
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/life-sim/pc-gamers-first-cant-miss-cozy-game-of-2026-has-gone-missing-on-steam-and-some-players-think-tetris-is-to-blame/
PC Gamer's Mollie Taylor had some very nice things to say about the Starsand Island demo she played in December 2025, and fellow cozy-knower Lauren Morton shared even stronger feelings in February, declaring Starsand Island "the first can't-miss cozy game of 2026." Yet if you head over to Steam right now, you will miss it, because it's no longer there.
The reason, developer Seed Sparkle Lab explained on X, is that "certain core visual elements from a classic title were used without proper authorization within our mini-game section," an error the studio attributed to "an oversight during the planning phase."

Get ready to play Overwatch's most popular maps even more in season 2 as Blizzard tweaks the voting process to prefer the majority
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/get-ready-to-play-overwatchs-most-popular-maps-even-more-in-season-2-as-blizzard-tweaks-the-voting-process-to-prefer-the-majority/
Pour one out for all the people who can't stand playing Overwatch's most popular maps, because the next season is going to make it even harder to play on anything else.
Whenever a classic Overwatch map shows up as an option on the map voting screen, you know you're probably stuck with it. Most players prefer the likes of King's Row—a hugely popular map that's been in the game since launch—over the newer options, and, currently, it takes a lot of luck for the system to pick one with only a couple of votes. Starting next week with season 2, the already low odds of playing on an unpopular map will plummet: Blizzard is changing the rules so the map with the majority of the votes will automatically win.

This 'highly realistic' city-builder could be the first real competition Cities: Skylines has seen in over a decade
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/city-builder/this-highly-realistic-city-builder-could-be-the-first-real-competition-cities-skylines-has-seen-in-over-a-decade/
Steam is flooded with all manner of weird and wonderful city-builders these days. Yet few of these newer games have laid their foundations in the true heartland of the genre. If you want to build a vast, modern cityscape with intensely simulated traffic and three types of zoning, you're pretty much stuck with Cities: Skylines or its troubled sequel.
Now though, Paradox Interactive might have some competition as the city-builder's de-facto mayor. City Masterplan is a newly announced metropolis sim that files its zoning permit request squarely in Skylines' home turf.
>> An UE5 city-builder of that scale and graphics? It will put any rig down to its knees and beg for mercy.

1000xResist developer added a video sequence 'out of desperation' but now they're bringing FMV back for their next game
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/adventure/1000xresist-developer-added-a-video-sequence-out-of-desperation-but-now-theyre-bringing-fmv-back-for-their-next-game/
You've been playing 1000xResist for half a dozen chapters, enjoying changes in perspective and mechanics with each chapter shift. Yet the sudden jump to video still feels unusual when it happens—recorded footage of Hong Kong suddenly taking the place of a cutscene in the middle of the game. As creative director Remy Siu says, that decision came about "really out of desperation."
Sunset Visitor, the studio behind 1000xResist, was founded by performers with backgrounds in the arts. Siu just happened to have some footage for a documentary product that turned out to perfectly fill a gap in his game project. "It's like, oh, let me reach into my archives and see what I have."
When the studio began thinking about the follow-up project that would eventually become Prove You're Human, a game about convincing an AI she's not a real person, they identified FMV as a useful thing to be proficient in. "Like, we feel comfortable doing lots of voiceover, because that's where we think we can make an interesting contribution," Sui says. "We're making very narrative-forward games, largely because we think that's where we can make a special contribution. And these full-motion videos and film things, that's something I think we can continue to explore."

Tribal survival game Soulmask leaves early access with a new Egypt-themed DLC that's free for the next month
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/tribal-survival-game-soulmask-leaves-early-access-with-a-new-egypt-themed-dlc-thats-free-for-the-next-month/
A lot has happened in the world of Soulmask in the last week. The survival game where you oversee a tribe of independently minded individuals released out of early access with an update that developer CampFire Studio says represents "a complete reinvention of the game." This launch coincided with the release of an Ancient Egypt-themed DLC that basically doubles the scope of the experience. On top of that, CampFire is offering this DLC completely free to players for the next month. As I said, there's a lot going on.

Terraforming survival game The Planet Crafter gets a beefy 2.0 update and a 50% discount: 'We wanted to take some time to improve multiple things'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/terraforming-survival-game-the-planet-crafter-gets-a-beefy-2-0-update-and-a-50-percent-discount-we-wanted-to-take-some-time-to-improve-multiple-things/
The Planet Crafter is a survival game that goes way beyond the traditional remit of the genre. You're not trying to stay alive by building campfires and hunting animals and smashing together a rock and a stick to make a pickaxe appear in your inventory. Rather than bending to suit the world, you bend the world to suit you, terraforming an entire planet to make it habitable for humans.
Released in 2024 after a long stint in early access, The Planet Crafter is already among Steam's highest-rated games. But it seems developer Miju Games still wasn't fully satisfied with the experience, having just released a meaty 2.0 update for the game which gives it a tune-up across all fronts.

Anno 117's first DLC will let you disregard history by building your Roman city next to a massive volcano
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/strategy/anno-117s-first-dlc-will-let-you-disregard-history-by-building-your-roman-city-next-to-a-massive-volcano/
Ubisoft has revealed that city-building sequel Anno 117: Pax Romana will get its first DLC later this month. Prophecies of Ash will add the largest island featured in the series yet, one that happens to be loomed over by a massive volcano. Because why bother building a Roman city without the risk of a natural disaster that will echo across millennia?

If you're struggling with Crimson Desert's double jump as much as I was, it's because of this mistranslation
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/action/if-youre-struggling-with-crimson-deserts-double-jump-as-much-as-i-was-its-because-of-this-mistranslation/
One of my major complaints with Crimson Desert has been the fact that the double jump and the glide abilities are both bound to the same button if you're playing on controller. In the nearly two dozen hours I've spent futzing with the game, this has been a constant source of consternation—I glide when I mean to double jump, I double jump when I mean to glide.
I thought this was just a case of a crowded control scheme, maybe even something Pearl Abyss would patch out in future updates. As it turns out, I'd just completely misunderstood what the double jump ability did. I can hardly be blamed, though, because the English tooltip really isn't great at communicating this to you.

The upcoming 'hardcore sci-fi FPS' Fragmentary Order finally gets a huge lore drop trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/the-upcoming-hardcore-sci-fi-fps-fragmentary-order-finally-gets-a-huge-lore-drop-trailer/
Fragmentary Order is an upcoming "hardcore sci-fi FPS" project helmed by Rant Gaming and publisher Cor3 with some involvement from Escape From Tarkov boss Nikita Buyanov.
Buyanov has, however, confirmed that Fragmentary Order "is not related to BSG or Tarkov", being more of a separate project. Regardless, it seems to share much of the same DNA when it comes to its music, animation, assets, and even its website.
Set to be a "next-generation multiplayer combat tactical simulator in hazardous environments." It essentially just sounds like an extraction shooter in space. Players will take control of "clone assets" to remotely enter a battlefield spread across the solar system, such as the hostile and partially terraformed planet of Mars, carrying out contracts and scavenging for resources, all while simply trying to make it out alive.

It's hard to believe how a single family of CPUs can go from 6 to 52 cores. The difference is massive!

Amazon Luna disables EA, Ubisoft and GOG libraries for cloud streaming

Not that surprising since Amazon said months ago that they were scaling down their videogame business.

I know that those that bought GOG games still can play them from GOG Galaxy, and it looks like the same is true for the other stores, which is good. The only thing people will lose is the option to stream their games and play from everywhere.

Something I can't even do as prime member because I'm not using Edge or Chrome. Opera, despite also being based on chromium, is not supported by Luna.

A shame, but I guess you're not losing anything then.

Well, I'll be losing 3€ for A Game About Digging A Hole, as Luna got me intrigued about the game, but wouldn't start it...
