Eh Dead Rising 3 wasn't really that good of a port, at least compared to DD. I do hope this means Capcom are more than willing to pass their games to PC sooner at good quality than later.

Also that NFS port took long enough, can't say I'm super thrilled at the marketing either along with the fact the servers will probably stay online for a max of 2-3 years like they did with Burnout Paradise. Also while I don't mind OPirigin at all, I don't like paying in Euros and especially at their prices so I'll likely be waiting for a super sale of some sort. I like playing the odd racing game now and then but not at max price and not after having waited months on end for roughly the same product.

Maybe Dead Rising 3 wasn't a great port, but it launched what, 3 months after the X1 game? And they were working to solve the problems of the X1 version while the PC port was being done.

It took them three years to bring Dragon's Dogma to PC, more than enough time to make a great port!

Please excuse my bad English.

Intel chips could be slower but more power efficient in the future. Will AMD catch up?

Fairly self-explainatory title.

Soon future-proofing might be upon us. Probably there will be nothing to keep a good PC with 5nm components from lasting as a performance machine for 10+ years.

Which is why I;m hoping they've elarned not to spend 3 years per port and narrow it down to months =P. If someone else can do it or a few others, so can Capcom.

It's a known thing that some chips sacrifice efficiency for power (Tom's Hardware had an article about undervolting a Fury card and see how its efficiency improved a lot). But it could also be a sign of Intel going that route because they want to give a push to their smartphones business.

Whatever it is, I'm ok with it if this means improved software development that uses the extra cores of our multi-core chips.

And if that means that PC components last longer... that's be great!

Do you mean the same Capcom, that's too often called Crapcom? Yeah, I wouldn't blindly bet on them.

I wouldn't bet on them but I do want them to uphold a standard they are trying to set down.

I tend to be pessimistic when it comes to japanese publishers and PC ports, and Capcom has done some very poor ports in the past.

But I'm glad that at least one of us is optimistic .

Oh believe me I'm the same way lol, I always tend to look at the realistic outcomes but I also want to hold them to what they try to present you (like EA trying to pass off their NFS late prot as "fedinitive" despite us not seeing the full table of results in terms of perf/visuals and I want to hold them strongly to that promise mroe than eve, elst they burn themselves again).

Didn't Capcom just release Resident Evil 0 HD at the same time as the console versions? So maybe they are learning

What Basil said but I;d also like to add that we have yet to see them release near the same time.

Managed to send Techland a support ticket nearly a day ago and got an email letting me know they will get back to me within at least 48 hrs.

Hopefully I can get some sort of answer or solution for them using CA or giving us an option to turn it off because I really want to play that expansion.
