Will AMD catch up? http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2016/02/moores-law-really-is-dead-this-time/ Fairly self-explainatory title. Soon future-proofing might be upon us. Probably there will be nothing to keep a good PC with 5nm components from lasting as a performance machine for 10+ years. |
It's a known thing that some chips sacrifice efficiency for power (Tom's Hardware had an article about undervolting a Fury card and see how its efficiency improved a lot). But it could also be a sign of Intel going that route because they want to give a push to their smartphones business.
Whatever it is, I'm ok with it if this means improved software development that uses the extra cores of our multi-core chips.
And if that means that PC components last longer... that's be great!

Which is why I;m hoping they've elarned not to spend 3 years per port and narrow it down to months =P. If someone else can do it or a few others, so can Capcom. |
Do you mean the same Capcom, that's too often called Crapcom? Yeah, I wouldn't blindly bet on them.
Please excuse my bad English.
