I wish that were true lol.

Also Jim Sterling threw up a good vid on the recent bad ports crap:

Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.

Today I've seen the latest Anno 2205 game on a retail store for 19.99 € and no, it wasn't on sale. This marks the second time I've seen it at that price, after I saw it on another store last week at that same price.

Given that the game launched only three months ago and that is still full price on Steam (but with a hefty 40% off sale), can we say that the game has flopped?

JEMC, if you don't like ES games (I don't like them either too much, apart from Morrowind and somewhat Daggerfall)...yeah, FO3 and FO:NV are more or less ES with guns. But, I can't say whether you'd like them or not, there are plenty of folks out there that like ES and don't like FO3/NV/4 and vice versa.

If you really want to play Fallout, pick FO1/2, if you're not too picky about outdated visuals - I think they are dirt cheap on Steam.

^Thanks, HoloDust. Getting FO1/2... That's an option that I didn't thought about. I usually don't mind old graphics, but graphics also dictate some of the gameplay so I'll have to check out some vids to see if I'm fine with them.

INTEL PUSHES CPU MICROCODE UPDATE WHICH CRIPPLES OVERCLOCKING NON-K SKYLAKE CPUS

http://www.techpowerup.com/219923/intel-pushes-cpu-microcode-update-which-cripples-overclocking-non-k-skylake-cpus.html

Intel pushed a CPU microcode update to its motherboard partners, which "plugs a loophole," which allowed people to overclock Core "Skylake" processors, other than those with the "K" brand extensions. The PC enthusiast community rejoiced what it felt was a comeback of base-clock overclocking on non-enthusiast Intel chips, with the advent of the company's 6th generation Core "Skylake" architecture. Apparently, Intel sees it as a flawed CPU micro-code which allowed overclocking, and which some motherboard vendors even built marketing campaigns around.

http://www.pcgamer.com/blizzard-is-25-years-old-today/

On February 8, 1991, three guys from California founded a company you've likely never heard of, called Silicon & Synapse. Today, that same company marked 25 years of incredibly successful operation, most of it under a different name you certainly have heard of: Blizzard Entertainment.

NIGHT IN THE WOODS WILL BE OUT THIS FALL

http://www.pcgamer.com/night-in-the-woods-will-be-out-this-fall/

Night in the Woods is a 2D adventure/exploration game starring a cat named Mae who returns to her hometown after a dropping out of college to discover that things aren't quite as she remembers them. It's all about running, jumping, astral projection, wasting time with loser friends, discovering secrets, playing bass, and breaking stuff—potentially very cool, in other words. It came out of Kickstarter in the fall of 2013 with more than four times its $50,000 goal, but the “estimated delivery date” of January 2015 didn't happen. Fortunately, the wheels of development have continued to turn, and developer Infinite Fall announced today that the game will be out later this year.

FO1/2 are isometric RPGs with turned-based action-points combat and hub-based open world. Great stories and NPCs and world that oozes with atmosphere... all around great classic CRPGs and one of my all time favorite games.

That said, first time I started FO1 (back in 98), after first person perspective intro, I was bummed to find out it was isometric game - I just finished Might&Magic VI, and wanted more of FPP adventuring...but half an hour into the game I already loved it. Even by 98's standard, it was not exceptionally great-looking game, but other things more than make up for it.

The isometric camera doesn't bother me at all. It's the pace and feeling of the game that I want to know more about.

Well once it launched I kept an eye on it for about a month and needless to say it wasn'[t recieved all that well since it was met with eprformance issues out the gate, along with being made "too simple" in terms of gameplay compared to the last ANNO. Also the original askign price put me fof along with it requiring Uplay so I never really had a desire to buy it.

Until Ubisoft revamps Uplay entirely or doesn't ask you to install when you buy from Steam then I just won't ever buy anything from them like I've done the past 3 years now.

Also I was just done downloading the enw Dying Light expansion and found out they didn't give you the option to remove Chromatic Aberration and it seems I'm not the only one who's upset about this news: http://steamcommunity.com/app/239140/discussions/0/405691147603610627/#p2

I won't be playing the expansion until Techland decide to patch an option in like Nixxes did for TR or until a mod is created because I absolutely cannot stand CA that is as bad as Dying Light's is. It's like playing a blind man in a town where everything has a brown tinge to it and specles everywhere, some even suffer from headaches due to the effect and I'm glad I don't suffer that much but it still ruins my gameplay in general and that's not me being snobby either (because someone on this forum will take it that way).
