FO1/2 are isometric RPGs with turned-based action-points combat and hub-based open world. Great stories and NPCs and world that oozes with atmosphere... all around great classic CRPGs and one of my all time favorite games. That said, first time I started FO1 (back in 98), after first person perspective intro, I was bummed to find out it was isometric game - I just finished Might&Magic VI, and wanted more of FPP adventuring...but half an hour into the game I already loved it. Even by 98's standard, it was not exceptionally great-looking game, but other things more than make up for it. |
The isometric camera doesn't bother me at all. It's the pace and feeling of the game that I want to know more about.
Please excuse my bad English.
