http://www.dsogaming.com/news/giants-citizen-kabuto-is-available-for-free-on-gog-for-the-next-46-hours/

We still consider Giants: Citizen Kabuto one of the most underrated games of all time. Created by Planet Moon Studios – which consisted of former Shiny Entertainment employees – this title was a lot of fun and had a amazing concept. Sadly, though, it did not meet a commercial success.

VALVE OUTLINES FORTHCOMING STEAM CONTROLLER IMPROVEMENTS

http://www.pcgamer.com/valve-outlines-forthcoming-steam-controller-improvements/

The Steam Controller has been out for a while now, and early adopters have inevitably discovered tricks that Valve hadn't planned. In a new update outlining the improvements made since launch – as well as those still forthcoming – the company draws attention to some of these hidden benefits. For example: did you know you can use the pad's Gyro tracking in concert with its trackpad for greater aiming precision? Well, you can.

>>And there's also a video showing how the controllers are made.

WINTER VEIL DESCENDS UPON HEARTHSTONE

http://www.pcgamer.com/winter-veil-descends-upon-hearthstone/

As I get older, I find my attempts at Christmas become ever more cursory: I haven't begun shopping for presents; my Christmas tree is more of a Christmas shrub; and I can't even decide what I want from those who deign to ask me. It's all a lot of effort. Apparently Blizzard feels the same way, because the Winter Veil 'event' has descended on Hearthstone and it's not the company's most lavish Christmas do.

JACK THE RIPPER DLC CUTS UP ASSASSIN'S CREED SYNDICATE THIS MONTH

http://www.pcgamer.com/jack-the-ripper-dlc-carves-up-assassins-creed-syndicate-next-week/

The Jack the Ripper DLC that was announced for Assassin's Creed Syndicate a few months ago now has a proper release date—December 22—and a story trailer that shines an entirely new light on what we've got to look forward to.

MECHWARRIOR ONLINE IS NOW ON STEAM

http://www.pcgamer.com/mechwarrior-online-is-now-on-steam/

Mechwarrior Online's Community Warfare mode was originally expected to be operational in early 2013, but it didn't get into open beta until late in 2014. That longer-than-expected wait frustrated a lot of players, and CW certainly wasn't perfect when it kicked off, as we noted in our preview. But it was a big and much-needed step in the right direction, and with today's launch on Steam it's now "ready for full player participation."

CS:GO R8 REVOLVER GETS NERFED AFTER THREE DAYS

http://www.pcgamer.com/csgo-r8-revolver-gets-nerfed-after-three-days/

We brought in a specialist to tell us in no uncertain terms how utterly daft Counter-Strike: Global Offensive's new R8 revolver was. Just three days after the R8 was patched in for the Winter Update, Valve appears to agree with the conclusion that a one-shotting pistol with pinpoint accuracy is silly.

HOTLINE MIAMI 2 LEVEL EDITOR BETA NOW LIVE

http://www.pcgamer.com/hotline-miami-2-level-editor-beta-now-live/

RAINBOW SIX SIEGE AMA ADDRESSES HIT DETECTION ISSUES

http://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-siege-ama-addresses-hit-detection-issues/

The Rainbow Six Siege dev team recently took questions in an AMA on the Ubisoft forums, and despite the usual non-committal 'at this time'-ing and 'no current-plans'-ing that accompanies any large publisher's response to probing questions, some interesting titbits came to light, particularly regarding Ubi's attitude to reported hit detection issues.

CYBERSPACE TWIN-STICK WAVES 2 HITS EARLY ACCESS NEXT WEEK

http://www.pcgamer.com/cyberspace-twin-stick-waves-2-hits-early-access-next-week/

Phil tells me he's lost friends score-chasing in Waves, but I don't play score attack games any more. Not since the incident. However, if you're up for straining your relationships with a glow-in-the-dark twin-stick shooter, Waves 2 (Waves Squared, I should say) will be crashing into Early Access on December 16.

SWITCHCARS, A GAME OF CAR SWITCHING AND KILLER LANDFISH, IS ON GREENLIGHT

http://www.pcgamer.com/switchcars-a-game-of-car-switching-and-killer-landfish-is-on-greenlight/

It takes a certain je ne sais quoi for a game to get noticed in Steam Greenlight these days. Switchcars has convinced me that that mysterious quality is in fact time-trial hitchhiking while being pursued by a gigantic murderous landfish.

This weekend deals on Steam involve the Doom franchise: http://store.steampowered.com/sale/doom/

And, on another note, I've finished my 1,300 € build and I hate to say that I'm disappointed with myself. While the PC is better overall, it's not a big jump from the 1,000 one. I couldn't even use a better card! AMD and Nvidia price drops seem to have missed mainland Europe.

1,300 € build
Component Part amazon.es alternate
CPU Intel i5 6600K 3,5GHz   269,00 €
CPU COOLER Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 28,95 €
MOTHERBOARD ASRock H170 Pro4S 91,22 €
RAM G.Skill 16GB DDR4-2400 CL15   93,90 €
STORAGE 1 Samsung 850 EVO, 250 GB, SSD 70,95 €
STORAGE 2 WD Caviar Black 2TB 136,00 €
GPU XFX R9-390P-8DB6   349,00 €
CASE Fractal Design CORE 2500   56,90 €
PSU Cooler Master Thunder B600 (RS-600) 47,56 €
OPTICAL DRIVE Samsung SH-224DB 14,20 €
KEYBOARD Logitech MK270 Combo
33,89 €
MOUSE -
WINDOWS Microsoft Windows 10 Home 64bit  96,95 €
sub total 519,72 € 768,80 €
TOTAL 1.288,52 €
Optional
CONTROLLER Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless adapter 9,30 €
CONTROLLER Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller   39,99 €

I've kept the optical drive for consistency over my previous builds, but without it I could have gone for a Z170 motherboard, the MSI Z170-A PRO. The changes over the previous one are these:

CPU: I've been able to get an i5-6600K. Nice upgrade, and an overclockable processor.

RAM: 16GB are now possible, as well being of a faster type, 2400MHz instead of 2133.

Storage: An SSD! Great for installing the OS and other programs while the 2TB caviar black HDD can take care of the games.

And that's all what has changed . I'd have loved to use a better card, but the cheapest 390X is 436 €, the cheapest 980 is 492 € (oddly enough, it's an Inno 3D card with a CLC setup. How this can be the cheapest 980 is beyond any logic), and a 980Ti can't be found for less than 699 €.

Please excuse my bad English.

Haha! Yeah saw this on my facebook feed last night and was tempted but then I saw the glorious Grandia and Lunar article!!!

Should just collect a few and do it anyway =P.

I've yet toi see someone make a GG Xrd PC thread yet since the game has been out for a few days now, I also got paid the other day so I'll probably buy it later on after seeing some port report reviews.

I made the Disgaea thread lol

As for GG Xrd - I'll buy it later - no funds atm and I wanna save it for something else. Recently got one of the other GG games and will play that along with BlazBlue 2 that I bought during the black friday sale.

Oh ya - forgot to mention - seems like the delay for LR FFXIII was worth it - everyone's saying the performance and options are far better than the first two games.

So based lol.

I'll hop in a few mins and probably either by the end of the weekend or Mon I'll give my grips with GG Xrd.

Also fixed your no funds problem =P

Going to be making a thread on Planetcoaster sometime soon or tomorrow, that is unless any of you gents want to take on that job =P. The devs have already released two dev dairies along with their pitch trailer from months back, their second dairy was uploaded earlier on today:

So far it's looking pretty epic, more so than Rollercoaster Tycoon's title.

Also guys!

on GOG.com - they are giving away GIANTS : Citizen Kabuto for free.

All you have to do is search for the game - click on it - it will show $9.99. Once you are on the game's page - it will say "Get for Free" - once you have done that - it will take you exactly where you need to be on the main page. Click the button to claim it and it will say "Claimed" for you!

They gave the game away in 2012, too. That's when I got it. Pretty neat game, worth checking out.

Sorry for not having posted any builds yet, but I was busy doing hospitals (half my family is sitting there for one reason or another right now - and of course each one in a different one :-/ ), will post my builds on monday.

I'm sorry to hear that. I hope none of them has something serious.

And don't worry too much about the builds, family comes first.

Finally got around to making that Planet Coaster thread since I got back from work a while ago and had my dinner =P.

I don't really expect it to get many views since I slapped it in PC discussion but I feel anyone who is willing to take a peek will.
