Yeah it could be, either way I'm now notgoing to use Newegg UK until they sort this out proper because that is beyond a ripoff for me.

I also tried Amazon UK to find the same set and that's without the added VAT so I don't even know if I'll ever get a cheap 16gb ram kit that has good perf.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/G-Skill-F3-1866C10D-16GAB-DDR3-1866-Non-ECC-Spreader/dp/B0079TBJ5U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1448906421&sr=8-2&keywords=G.Skill+Ares+16GB

Do you have anything against Overclockers? Because if not, they have this 16GB kits

*not useful links*

I actually ordered the enw keyboard and mouse mat from OC, though a friend recently gave me a link to a kingston Ram kit and I just bought it a while ago:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00J8E8ZOC?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

Nice kit. Which color did you choose?

Red of course =P.

I dn't mind different RAM colours tho since my current 8gb kit is green while the majority of my build is in all black, I'm actually thinking of getting a new CPU cooler sometime and do need to shop for some extra fans.

Nice kit - and at a good price, too

Was just about to post you another kit. Not quite as cheap, but still good: https://www.alternate.co.uk/G-Skill/16GB-DDR3-1866/html/product/984616?tk=7&lk=4539

Might also check them out for other hardware needs, as they got mostly everything. I configurated and bought my PC at their German site and can't say I've ever had a problem with them.

Funnily enough that Aires kit was the one I was originally after though Newegg listed it for £53 but the whole shipping/VAT threw me at £95-115 and Amazon listed it for £70 so I gave up on that and went for the Kingston one instead.

I do hope next BF is better for HW deals though because the majority of what I saw over on various websites was more or less stuff the stores wanted rid of or shaved off small percentages of already expensive hw, I was hoping to grab a possible i7 but most of them had 5-10% shaved off instead of say 50%, I know that's me asking for Steam level sales percentages for hardware but that's honestly how I see actual big sales like how women see their clothing sales and get absolute steal deals on a lot of stuff they want.

Hey guys, after what happened yesterday with Chazore's RAM and the $550 PC thread of zero from a couple weeks ago, I have a little idea for a project.

Say that we have 3 categories, up to 600, 800 and 1,000 $/€, or £400, 550 and 700. Why don't we design the best PCs we can within those budgets? And once we're done, we can make a thread with them as our recommended builds to those that want to get a gaming PC this Christmas. What do you think?

The rules/objectives and budgets are open to discussion, of course.

DSOGaming hasn't posted the "best selling games of the last week" article today, but I've found the Steam Top 10 at Guru3D:

1.Fallout 4
2.Grand Theft Auto V
3.Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
4.The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt
5.Elite: Dangerous
6.Rocket League
7.Call of Duty: Black Ops III
8.ARK: Survival Evolved
9.Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Legendary (RU)
10.Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete Edition

Sounds like an idea, though for the GBP part can we up the last build to say £800?, since those seem to be the near top end sweet spots if not £1000 (I've spend practically near 1k on my rig already).

Also as you say this, Linus came out with an 8core build that does seem to cut some corners for it's price ratio:

As I said, budget and goals are open for discussion, so I don't really have a problem raising the max to £800.

I'll check the video.

Cool, I would also suggest we wait till most ppl on here are online since I haven't seen some of you in days.

In other news EA released a patch for Star Wars Battlefront that ended up nerfing barrage which hopefully means people won't be spamming it so often and a slight nerf to the Dl-44 pistol (basically like han's pistol) which nearly everyone seems to be sporting due to it being a bit op with it's few round bursts that instantly kill you within medium to close range without reaction time.
