AMD’s iGPU-Less Ryzen 5 7500F 6-Core CPU Benchmarked, As Fast As 7600X But Cheaper

Intel to add more cores and cache to 14th Gen Core-HX laptop lineup

Alleged Intel Core i7-14700K processor is 17% faster than 13700K in CPUZ/Cinebench multi-threaded tests

https://videocardz.com/newz/alleged-intel-core-i7-14700k-processor-is-17-faster-than-13700k-in-cpuz-cinebench-multi-threaded-tests

Sounds like they will be increasing the E cores from 8 to 12 if true

While the 6700XT is generally slower, it is also 20% cheaper with more vram. As shown in the video, the stock is starting to run out and once it does, the only options in the price range will be 8GB unless you go down to 3060 12GB until that goes out of stock as well. It is kinda dumb how unlike last gen where you had 12GB options at $330-$480, this gen, you have 8GB until $500. Hopefully AMD will release a 12GB 7700XT to replace 6700XT while being faster than a 4060 Ti and cheaper than $500.

So I am thinking to get either

$440 CAD MINISFORUM Mini PC NAB5 Windows 11 Pro Intel Core i5-12450H Processor up to 4.4GHz 16GB RAM DDR4 512GB PCIe4.0 SSD Dual LAN Mini Desktop Computer,2 x HDMI,3 x USB Type-C,4 x USB Type A,WiFi 6,BT5.2

$610 CAD MINISFORUM Venus Series NAB6 Mini PC, 12th Gen Core i7-12650H Small Compter, 32G DDR4+512G PCIe4.0 SSD, 2X HDMI+2X USB-C 4K

Output, 2X 2.5G RJ45 Port, 4X USB3.2 Windows 11 Pro Small Form Factor

So which one should I get or if anyone else has any suggests?

I'd check the details on the first one, because some 16GB RAM Minisforum PCs come with one 16GB stick, which would hurt your performance. Other than that, I don't think the extra power of the 12650H will matter for the tasks you want it, and an extra 16GB of RAM isn't worth the price difference.

A 4% improvement in single core tells me that any improvement will come from the extra 100MHz, and that this thing will use a lot of power.

Please excuse my bad English.

Currently gaming on a PC with an i5-4670k@stock (for now), 16Gb RAM 1600 MHz and a GTX 1070

Steam / Live / NNID : jonxiquet    Add me if you want, but I'm a single player gamer.

Thanks, that's a good point. Based on the videos I have seen online, it looks like 2x 8 gb for the i5 model. I think I'll order it on amazon and return it if it's only one stick.

And yea, the 14th generation i9 might use as much power as a 4090 lol.

From some reviews I've seen, You only need to remove 4 screws to access the insides of it, and it's fairly easy to install/replace the RAM or install a 2.5" drive for extra storage. Minisforum even includes a set of extra feet to replace the two you need to remove to find two of those screws.

If you're up to it, you can buy another 16GB stick and upgrade it yourself for less than the price difference between the two models.

Yea but maybe at that point, the i7 would be worth it with the extra P cores.

I got XIII-2 and LR from the steam sale. Watching the DF video about FF13 and FF16 reminded me I have a soft spot for that mess of a game. Also Tomb Raider 2013 for like the equivalent of one US dollar :D

Congratulations.

I enjoyed the Tomb Raider reboot, and its sequels.

My Steam Summer 2023 Haul

I bought some stuff from Humble because of the bigger discount I have with them due to Humble Choice (my go to for Indie games lol).

The battle of the Titans keep going on.

Congratulations for your new games, Basil.

Thanks!

Though I've seen people with way more games than I have on Steam - just on my friends list I see DuskGolem (who leaks out stuff about Resident Evil and Silent Hill) has over 9,000 games. Another person who has 8,500 games.

I see that Conina has me beat at 4,500 games.

Mine is at
